Mainly for.kindle, audio books, night time tv shows or films and the occasional non time sedative games that can be downloaded from the Amazon appstore.

Initially I bought it with ads however they got on my nerves and meant the battery barely lasted at all. So I paid an extra £10 to remove them.

It's not the fastest tablet and sometimes it's irritating and requires a few restarts to get its slow speed back. I went from an out of date iPad to the fire tablet so it was more noticeable than if it had been my first tablet.

The screen doesn't have the same quality of many alternative tablets and has some grain to the colours.

The speakers have a tin sound when playing music, easily rectified with a Bluetooth speaker. It connects quite well with them. Speech however is clearer than music through the internal speakers.

Features to be ignored are the camera, terrible quality think the first digital camera quality and it's on par. Didn't buy it for this feature at all so that's fine.

Amazon app store is more limited than android or Apple app stores. If you have Prime some content can be downloaded the same with a Netflix subscription too.

I've never tried adding my own content to the tablet so can't comment on that.

There are issues mainly the speed of the device, lack of apps on the app store including alternative browsers as silk is also slow.

I've installed Google play store via a website and other browsers run faster and that is android running alongside the fires own operating system. It's since been removed with a factory reset when I wasn't using any of the features android have me.

In all you get what you pay for, recommendations are to pay for advert removal saves battery life. It is usable for music only with external speakers, audio books and kindle books. So if your only intention is to use those products go ahead it will do the job. Want to play games I suggest a different device alltogether.
