I fancied a change from Android and the price had dropped to almost affordable. I tend to keep a mobile for 4 years or until it's unsupported for security updates then I get something else. The initial thoughts are that the hardware is incredible, t thought my old Xiaomi was quick but this blows it out the water.
Switching from android to apple is a bit of a headache as they don't tend to get along or apple locks stuff down but I'm getting used to it.
Im having fun with the lidar and using it for 3d design, the screen is vivid, the speakers amazing and the build quality is great. I'm not too sure about the cameras yet as I found the 128mp camera in the Xiaomi really decent and I haven't had a chance to do any comparisons yet.
I used open core on my old 2013 iMac and the iPhone is great for talking to and casting to the Mac. Makes life easy
