Having experienced intermittent connectivity with a number of special (and expensive ) data cables, requiring stopping and starting my EV in order to reset the CarPlay connection and be able to use navigation, this dongle instantly connected and has never lost connection yet! It even connects before the car starts. I never have to wait for a connection now. So good my son and wife are purchasing 2 more units. and I would recommend this to anybody without a wireless CarPlay option. A further plus is no cable trailing across the dashboard to a windscreen phone holder....(Why don't car makers put a USB connection, near the windscreen!).
