Already owning a number of Amazon tech products including the Fire tablet HD 10 and an Echo Dot. I wanted something smaller to use when travelling and during hospital visits.
I have a medical condition that require routine visits to hospital 🏥. Due to the distance and the procedure, I can be away from between 6 to 14 hours. I always take a power bank with me just in case I need extra power. And in addition I purchased a Amazon cover, which not only protects the device, but also allows you to use it as a stand.
Pros:
• Easy to set up.
• Expandable memory.
• Good battery life.
• Excellent price
• Bluetooth connection as well as 3.5 headphones 🎧 jack.
• Can call other Alexa devices as well as monitoring home security devices connected with Alexa such as video doorbell.
• Makes a perfect gift for a child at an affordable price.
Cons:
• Obviously a smaller screen, but you know this when you purchase it. And normally buy for that reason.
Having had the device for over 4 months, I have to admit for the price, I would find it difficult to find anything cheaper, that is of the same high quality as this device. Extremely well made and excellent design it is perfectly suited as a small and easy to carry device. The price makes it a perfect option if you want to a small tablet, that allows you to do all the same as it's big brother. In my humble opinion it is as good, if not better than the "Big named brand", but at a much lower price.
My wife also uses it on her bedside table, to listen to audible books when trying to get to sleep 😴.
In addition you can add an SD card to expand the memory, easily allows you to download films etc, in case you don't have access to the Internet. Essential for an extended stay in hospital.
You can obviously read all the specs on the Amazon website. But along with the other Amazon tech products I've purchased, they are easily much cheaper but the same or better quality than the much more expensive "Named" products. If like me, you have Prime membership you can also listen to music, watch films and listen to your Audible library.
All in all, I am extremely impressed with this device.
