I travel a lot for work and other reasons and it can be difficult to lug around books, particularly if you end up not in the mood for the book you’ve brought. Eventually I caved and bought this.
From previously owning the first gen Kindle paperwhite a long time ago, the improvements since then are drastic. The automatic warmth tone setting of the backlight is great, as is the waterproofing. The screen is large and fits plenty of text on it and the refreshing technology is much improved, only needing a refresh after 20 or so pages. The device is light and feels good in my hands. The battery life is phenomenal - I read daily, on the train and in bed, and I’ve only charged it twice in the 7 weeks I’ve owned it.
I love reading on this and spend a lot more time reading overall than I used to. It’s a really great piece of tech.
