I already own a galaxy watch 4 classic 46mm.I like my watch a lot. so I decided to purchase a 42mm version for one of my close friends.
I like the 42mm version too,it's compact and there is still the rotating bezel which I love to use all the time.
The display is top notch from samsung(it's amoled.The main sensors in this watch are optical heart rate sensor (PPG), electrocardiogram (ECG), and bioelectrical impedance (BIA).To use the ECG and Blood pressure functions,you need to use a samsung phone..
Not everything is positive about this watch.If you are using other phones,it's more like a usual Smartwatch.The galaxy watches does not work with an iPhone as of now.The battery backup is very poor,it does not last a day.On the other hand,my 46mm lasts more than a full day.The sensors accuracy is another concern,the blood pressure measurements are not accurate at all.I checked my watch against the OMRON blood pressure monitor.
Overall, this was an OK purchase.
