Customer Review

I bought this phone as I was looking for a small phone. Android phones from other manufacturers seem to all be massive these days. I want a phone not a tablet.

This phone performs reasonably quickly, 5G works well, the screen sharp and it's small enough to fit in my jeans pocket. The audio is way better than my previous phone.

The fingerprint reader isn't good, but just about works. With or without a screen protector, it can take several attempts to recognise my fingers and sometimes gives up and requires a pin. It keeps saying the reader is dirty, but that's clearly rubbish. I didn't have this issue with my old Nokia 8. Face recognition works well though if it's not dark and you can always use a pin number.

I've had issues finding screen protectors that are the correct size. Most of them were a couple of millimetres too narrow. It's obvious this phone isn't considered a priority from the accessories manufacturers, so the range available is limited.

I connected it to Virgin Mobile. Phone calls worked, but mobile data didn't work out the box. I had to manually set the Access Point Name settings. Virgin don't have a dedicated page on their site for this phone, but their Google/Generic Android settings seem to work.

Battery life is good enough to last me all day and then some. There are a range of options for charging, to balance charge speed against battery degradation, but it will be a year or two before I know how effective they are.

In summary, if you're looking for a smallish Android phone this isn't a bad buy, but expect some teething problems.
