I was very pleased to receive the eufy Omni S1 Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner with Mop. At the time it was priced at £1,499.99 and I’ll let you know later if I consider this value for money.
It arrives in a large box, weighing in at 17Kgs. As you’d expect, it was very well pack with dense polystyrene packing.
It looks a style piece of kit and the display on the top of the Uniclean station is set at a nice height. All that needs fitting are the front corner brushes. eufy have included an extra set of front corner brushes, a spare roller mop, high performance filter and dust bag. At the time I wanted an extra bottle of the S1 hard floor cleaning liquid - I contacted eufy supported and was quickly directed to the link. The product came in two days via Amazon and it is now listed.
The App is very simple to use - I requested the unit mapped out the area to be cleaned/vacuumed and once completed it showed me the are mapped. It is an area of 165 sq metres, generally ceramic tile but a room with oak flooring and a small area of carpet - it is very easy using the app to set different tasks. I have been using the cleaner for 2 weeks now and am still tweaking the app and also getting used to keeping the floor clear of objects - the object avoidance system works really well. I also have to make sure access/doors is clear to all rooms.
The unit is generally quiet, although fairly noisy when returning to base and carrying out its cleaning process.
Having dogs, the cleaner has really helped reduce the amount of dog hair around the house which is a real bonus.
I wouldn’t go back to the old method of manual cleaning - I highly recommend this product and although it has a large price tag - it is without doubt in my mind, worth the cost!

eufy Omni S1 Pro vac/mop -truly powerful
I've had this vac for 3 weeks now and I'm constantly learning of its capabilities.Two things that you face from the get go: price, and size.Once you get over them and decide to get it, the world is your oyster.I'd advise to read the manual carefully, not at once but parts you're interested in. It can be downloaded from eufy website.Once I found 'forever' place for it, I tried it. I let it go and discover the place it will be cleaning. I don't have a massive place and most of my floors have some objects on them so I wanted to see how it behaves scanning the place and how it manages obstacles.Mapping/scanningIt surprised me. The map in my pictures - the coloured parts are the first scan. This how it saw my place. However, the white overlaying lines, are from second vacuuming when I took obstacles away. Didn't work out yet if it changes in the app with future cleaning or if I need to send him manually for another scan (I think it's the latter).VacuumingWith 8000Pa (suction power) this is twice as strong as my last robo vac (which wasn't bead!).The square shape makes it easier to move around edges and even some corners. But cleaning corners is always the issue for robo vacs and it is never perfect. (In my case. handeld one comes handy).Because of the 3D Matrix Eye - which is located at the front of the vac - it constantly scans for objects and gives them 'wide berth'. Well, not that wide but it doesn't bump into them. With a couple of my first robo vac, the first one was constantly getting hit by skirtings, for example; the second one was much better but not as good as S1.Now, we are entering where I made mistake by not reading the instruction properly.After second hoovering I've noticed it leaves traces of dirt or doesn't pick up all. I knew it has the automatic emptying function. Firstly, checked the bin - which is really very small as you can see. It was full.I referred to the manual and now there's the thing to pay attention to: you need to manually set up dust bin emptying from the settings on the base. There's no option for it in application. SO you can set it up after whole place cleaning, or a room or a zone etc.By default it empties itself at the end of cleaning.FunctionsIn the app: you can set up room 1. 2 etc - rename them, set up no go zones or go for auto function (whole place).What I like - I have different types of vacuuming set p for each room. That means that my more used rooms are hoovered twice, kitchen can be hoovered and mopped, some other rooms can be hoovered ones.You can also set up individual strengths of vacuuming for each room. Love it.As I have a staircase - the vac goes there and stops. Like others (my older ones), it has sensors and doesn't attempt to fall down.MoppingSo this is what I was most excited about. I have lino/vinyl in the kitchen and bathroom and I have a deep dislike for dealing with them.S1 Pro is fantastic for it. Main difference - it has a roller, not a microfibre type of thingy attached at the bottom (like my previous ones). And I must say - with my old lino it does really great job. And that was one of the main points I wanted to try this model.Once you put water in, and put provided tank with cleaner (to be changed every 6 months - this is for mopping) - you just put it on, sit comfortably and let it do its job.One thing to note - and not to worry - before I set up different cleaning modes for my place, I let it go and then worried it was mopping my carpets. It didn't. Thanks to a carpet detection, it lifts the mop and only vacuums.ConnectivityAs majority of these type of devices, it works on 2.4GHz. I've never had a broadband that wouldn't have this frequency - it is always there. Connection is very easy.VoiceI like this little trick of reporting back to you when finished or when something needs to be done. You'll also receive notification on your phone (as long as you allow eufy app to do so).My verdict - this is machine for next few years in my case. It does what I expect it to do. I simply cannot complain!Access to machine and various things (like the dust bin or power on switch) is so easy. I'm really really impressed - with the build, with the look and with its functionality.
