I recently upgraded to the newest Amazon Firestick, and it has been a fantastic addition to my home entertainment system. Here’s why I’m giving it 5/5 stars:

Bought this to replace my broken NowTV stick. Have been using the TV app but it was a little slow and clunky.

First impression of the stick was that it was rather large and the side located power connection is rather awkward. A rear connection would be much better. I had to use the cable extension to get it in the HDMI slot. Having had a USB power connector (rather than wall socket) on my previous stick I would certainly recommend one especially if power sockets are in short supply. Amazon do sell this stick with a USB power cable but I don't think it was offered in the Prime day offers.

As for the stick itself the processing speed is really impressive and makes me wonder how I ever managed without it. Although I have a 4k TV the picture quality seems to have gone up a notch although to be fair I have only watched Sky Sports so far. Overall an impressive stick especially for those looking seeking access to apps not available elsewhere.
