I bought this 7 month's ago for my 5-year-old grandaughter. The apps on here are child friendly, the tablet is child friendly, it's not slow and has good sound and screen, I don't know how I would have set up an android tablet, a lot of the games have pay walls, no problems with this, all the apps are good in this respect, also easy for adults to control what a child has access to. Grandaughter loves it, useful to keep her quiet for a while, we do limit screen time. Very pleased with this purchase, ideal tablet for children, no issues so far.

Been really pleased with this tablet. Really easy to setup and use. My daughter is really pleased with it. The speed is much better and the storage is easy to expand and use. Battery is really good, last much longer than previous device.

This is the third Amazon tablet we have owned.
They are robust and very capable.
The battery life is very good.
The screen quality is excellent for the user but drops when viewed from an angle!
Great value for the money!
There are numerous other tablets available, if you're looking for: faster processor / better screen / better sound/ longer battery life...
But few offer the spec's of the Amazon tablets (at this price point).
Tip: Wait for one of the "Prime" events and grab a bargain!

My daughter loves her kindles and we’ve had these for years. Upgraded to this one for her with a better battery life, memory and quicker play. They last so well and amazon are great at help and support if they break (my daughter is autistic/nonverbal and so can be prone to dropping or throwing as she doesn’t understand). The case they come in are very sturdy and easy to clean. We brought a screen protector separately. There’s Lots of useful apps for her and she enjoys watching videos. You can’t get as many apps as Apple or Google but this is just enough for her needs with plenty of educational games and iplayer or prime to watch videos. Good to keep her entertained but there is No YouTube. Battery life is pretty good but could be better. Got a good deal on a prime day

This tablets great, good battery life, good kids features, the peace of mind to get it repaired/replaced if they break it is also great an the case is sturdy.
The parent dashboard is ok, gives you good control, however I have had a few disasters where i accidentally removed a profile completely, trying to remove it from a specific tablet.
It's also near impossible to transfer Minecraft worlds between tablets which has been the bane of my life when they've got a new one. You cant access the files on the kids profile (i work in IT and have found it next to impossible) the only way I found is to use a realms paid subscription, which i think is crazy for a game in 2024, how it doesn't allow cloud backup of your worlds is insane. The other thing I wasn't happy was the tablets handling of DNS records, we use CleanBrowsing.org to protect the children and block adult sites, the issue with the tablets is that if it cant find the website it wants on the DNS you specify, it is hardcoded to check googles dns 8.8.8.8 which finds the site and serves it to the tablet. This is a pretty fundamental security risk and amazon told me its a "feature", well it's a feature that's not possible to override or turn off, so it means I cant have the children using the inbuilt web browser. Why they remove DNS control from you, I don't know.

It loses a star for the above issues, but other than that it's a great tablet at a competitive price.
