I love this phone, I have the 6gb variant. I have taken a star off because the speakers on the phone itself aren't great, they crackle and the volume goes up and down, also there's no native music player app, however, playing music through external speakers or headphones is absolutely fine. Taking pics isn't really something I have done loads of as I haven't had the opportunity but the ones I have taken are perfectly acceptable, there is a manual mode so if you do know what you're doing, there is a degree of control(I don't), portrait mode setting is good for quick shots, there's also a night mode. The screen colours can look a Iittle washed out and pale, even with the warmer setting, but I like a darker screen anyway so for me, it's not that noticeable when watching tv. I realized I just didn't use nor need all the bells and whistles that flagship phones have, I never used them on my recently discarded high end Sony Xperia 1 ii and as much as I told myself I would learn about photography to get the best out of it, well I just didn't, and 4k is great if there is actually anything available to watch, also the licensed case cost over £40 for my old phone, so not needing a case is a real bonus; with this phone I am not scared of dropping it, which I haven't yet btw; it's reassuringly wide without being overly thick and not an issue for my fat but small hands to handle. I have no case on it, nor do I have a screen protector, I just have faith that it won't shatter when dropped, I did buy a wrist lanyard, Nokia really should supply one, although if I am being honest, depending on your needs, it probably isn't something everyone will want, having said that, they are missing a trick with the free advertising, because actually, the phone is aesthetically very pleasing, I have the green, generally I opt for black phones cos you're probably going to put a case on it, but people have coveted it after seeing it with no restrictive case. Battery is pretty good, have been watching football on it and I would say it lost about 9% -10% over 90mins, I have about 33 % left at present and that's after about 14hrs of use, including 3hrs of watching said football and TV over the net, I am not a gamer though so I don't know how it would perform, having said that, I have played the odd game and it seems fine. It has wireless charging which has been great, I use my kindle fire 8 charger so it's also a stand and that works very well. The internet connection hasn't dropped, I can't comment on 5g as I don't think it's available where I live, although it's supported by the phone, Bluetooth is easy to connect and it has an expandable memory, the fingerprint scanner however, can be erratic but I don't think that's unique to this phone having had issues with my Xperia, (it could also be down to user error), the only phone I have had to send away to be fixed, to give some context, I have had many, many phones!! All in all, it's a workhorse of a phone, my priorities may be different from yours but if you're a parent whose kids mess with your phone, or you're accident prone, careless, just wanting something functional you're not scared of breaking cos it would cost too much to replace, but looks good, this phone is great.

The Nokia XR20 5G is a very nice phone with good features but the battery life was not good. I did not use the phone a lot but I seemed to be charging it every day. The fingerprint senser was not only difficult to locate but did not always work. The size of the text could not be adjusted enough for me to read it - that's probably a personal issue and the phone wasn't as large as I thought. I had to return the phone as it wasn't suitable for me.

Despite the IP68 rating, the microphone stopped working the first time it went inside the water. Sent to warranty, came back fixed - it was the same unit.
Second time it went inside the water - microphone became very glitchy and screen stopped working.

Aside from that, the battery does not last remotely as much as advertised, even when I turned off 5G completely.
The fingerprint reader is on the same button you use to turn the screen on/off, so when pressing the power button to shut off the screen it will immediately turn itself back on because it registers my finger as trying to wake up the display, which is very annoying.

Nokia screwed it up this time, big time.

After getting this and going through the transition from iPhone I found the operating system so much better. The options available to me made iOS seem stupidly restrictive.

When it comes to the hardware though, what a pile of rubbish, the fingerprint reader on the side mistakes my pocket as a failed attempt repeatedly. The 4GB RAM barely keeps the phone moving. Also as a rugged phone I have dropped it once from around 60cm and it has taken a chip that is clear.

Nokia customer services is also absolutely terrible, you either have their chat bot that has no interest, their website that doesn’t work properly or a few mins a day when you can talk to a person who has no ability to avoid the process.

Very sad at this. I thought Nokia were going for a second attempt at delivering something useful. With this product if I went to a primary school and ended up with this as a product, given the OS isn’t theirs, I would consider myself a failure. There is not a 5 year old on this planet who couldn’t improve this product. How Nokia have failed to do this astounds me. They must simply not care.

I would avoid like the plague. This is a downgrade from 2 tins of beans and a piece of string.

Just touching an iPhone XS Max again made me write this review. Nokia are just finishing off milking profits before they shut down, another failed company that had potential but stopped paying attention to the basics.

Despues de recibir el producto, tuve la confirmación que habia acertado con el , la sensacion en las manos es muy comoda, pantalla correcta y aunque sera grande para bastantes usuarios, en mi caso lo puedo manejar a una mano en la mayoria de situaciones.
El rendimiento es muy bueno, se agradece la ausencia de bloatware y van fluidas todas las aplicaciones, rapidez de la localizacion de GPS, buen volumen.

Das Smartphone erfüllt alle Anforderungen, die ich an ein solches Gerät habe, hervorragend. Ich wollte gern ein robustes Gerät, das auch mal naß werden darf. Mir war drahtloses Laden wichtig, außerdem Navigation (auch) über das europäische Galileo-System. Weiterhin eine längere Nutzbarkeit, da ich nicht in kurzen Abständen ein neues Gerät kaufen möchte. Durch AndroidOne sind Updates für eine längere Zeit als üblich gewährleistet, außerdem ist das System nicht durch viele vorinstallierte Apps überfrachtet.
Die Bedienung des Systems ist flüssig, der Prozessor schnell, und das Display läßt sich auch draußen ablesen, vor allem, nachdem die automatische Helligkeitsregelung aktiviert wurde (war ab Werk deaktiviert).
Unterschiedliche Angaben las ich zuvor über die Lautsprecherwiedergabe: diese erfolgt in Stereo! Es gibt zwar nur einen Lautsprecher am unteren Ende, aber gemeinsam mit dem Wandler an der Oberseite ("Telefonhörer") wird der Sound in Stereo wiedergegeben. Das funktioniert ausnehmend gut. Man sollte keine Basswunder erwarten, aber für Filmwiedergabe oder gelegentliches Musikhören ist das völlig ausreichend.
Zur Robustheit kann ich nichts sagen, ich habe das Telefon bisher weder heruntergeworfen noch getaucht. Die Verarbeitung sieht aber gut aus, ich traue dem Gerät hier einiges zu.
Auch die 5G-Funktion konnte ich bereits testen, obwohl mein Vertrag 5G gar nicht vorsieht. Das Gerät verbindet sich bei verfügbarem 5G-Netz im Ausland sofort damit, offenbar im Rahmen des Routing-Abkommens.
Die Kamera war für mich eher sekundär, macht aber überraschend gute Bilder.
Der Akku hält mehr als 2 Tage durch, bei sparsamer Nutzung dürfte weit mehr möglich sein.
Die Größe ist grenzwertig, was vor allem dem großen Display geschuldet ist. Für die Benutzung super, für die Hosentasche weniger. Es ist überraschend flach, vor allem im Vergleich zum Ziegelstein-Format anderer Outdoor-Geräte. Ein etwas kleineres Display, und damit kleineres Gesamtformat, wäre mir lieber gewesen, es gibt aber kein Smartphone auf dem Markt, welches die Kombination an Eigenschaften, die mir wichtig waren, besser erfüllt.
