Fueled by his unwavering sense of justice, McCall unleashes his deadly skills to protect the innocent.

Once again, Denzel Washington captivates as the stoic and unflinching Robert McCall. He's older, perhaps more vulnerable, but the years have only made his fury more potent. The change of scenery to the Italian coast brings a fresh, sun-drenched aesthetic to the franchise, replacing the gritty urban landscapes of the previous installments.

Antoine Fuqua's direction keeps things visceral. The action sequences, though less frequent than before, are thrillingly choreographed and viscerally impactful. There's a refreshing sense of consequence each time McCall takes action – this Equalizer doesn't walk away unscathed.

Thematically, "The Equalizer 3" treads familiar ground. The formula of McCall's methodical takedown of an evil organization remains largely intact. However, the focus shifts slightly to explore ideas of community and the burdens of McCall's chosen path. While not deeply philosophical, it adds a touch of bittersweet introspection.

Dakota Fanning's appearance as a younger associate adds a potential legacy element, but it feels slightly underdeveloped. Still, she has potential if the franchise were ever to continue.

Ultimately, The Equalizer 3 is a treat for fans of Denzel Washington and the franchise's signature brand of brutal justice. It's stylish, tense, and while less groundbreaking than the first film, delivers a satisfying conclusion to McCall's story.

Ce film est distrayant mais totalement déconnecté de la réalité.
La seule vérité est que le trafic d'êtres humains existe et que des jeunes femmes sont exploitées par des gens peu recommandables.
Denzel Washington le gentil 'ex agent-tueur de la CIA' (qui ne tue que des méchants, c'est bien connu ) devient après sa retraite un redresseur de torts.
La scène où il élimine un état major de la mafia russe est du même régistre que les performances de 'Hit Girl' dans KIck Ass, si ce n'est que 'Hit Girl' c'est du second degré et c'est marrant.
A noter que Chloé Moretz aurait pu faire le job vu qu'elle figure au casting pour 15 minutes d'apparition et une quizaine de répliques, elle incarne une prostituée russe et ce personnage qui ne lui colle pas à la peau et n'apportera rien à sa carrière. Enfin, les acteurs acceptent aussi des emploi 'alimentaires', ils doivent vivre et faire face à des frais engendrés par leur image de star.
En résumé, ce film est à regarder un soir où on n'a pas envie de se casser la tête, ni de rire et peut-être même si vous avez eu une journée ardue sur le plan relationnel... n'avons nous pas tous des envies de devenir un 'justicier liquidateur' ?
Film dans la lignée des ' Un Justicier dans la Ville' avec Charles Bronson dont les scenarii étaient toutefois un brin plus crédibles.
