Bottom line is - It's Denzel, It's well written with an engaging story and moves at a really good pace. Try it and you won't be disappointed if action thrillers are your thing.
I like Denzel Washington as an actor and love all of the movies he has acted in. So when Equalizer 3 was released it was great to be able to buy it on Amazon.
The Equalizer 3: McCall Finds Justice on the Italian Coast
The Equalizer 3 delivers a satisfying, if somewhat familiar, conclusion to Denzel Washington's action-thriller trilogy. Robert McCall, now living a peaceful life in Southern Italy, finds his newfound tranquility shattered when a ruthless mafia boss threatens his newfound friends. Fueled by his unwavering sense of justice, McCall unleashes his deadly skills to protect the innocent.
Once again, Denzel Washington captivates as the stoic and unflinching Robert McCall. He's older, perhaps more vulnerable, but the years have only made his fury more potent. The change of scenery to the Italian coast brings a fresh, sun-drenched aesthetic to the franchise, replacing the gritty urban landscapes of the previous installments.
Antoine Fuqua's direction keeps things visceral. The action sequences, though less frequent than before, are thrillingly choreographed and viscerally impactful. There's a refreshing sense of consequence each time McCall takes action – this Equalizer doesn't walk away unscathed.
Thematically, "The Equalizer 3" treads familiar ground. The formula of McCall's methodical takedown of an evil organization remains largely intact. However, the focus shifts slightly to explore ideas of community and the burdens of McCall's chosen path. While not deeply philosophical, it adds a touch of bittersweet introspection.
Dakota Fanning's appearance as a younger associate adds a potential legacy element, but it feels slightly underdeveloped. Still, she has potential if the franchise were ever to continue.
Ultimately, The Equalizer 3 is a treat for fans of Denzel Washington and the franchise's signature brand of brutal justice. It's stylish, tense, and while less groundbreaking than the first film, delivers a satisfying conclusion to McCall's story.
I ordered this film having watched Equalizer 1 + 2 as I was gifted with an amazon gift card I didn't think the this film was as good as 1+2 but thank you to Amazon for the gift card it's nice to get something that helps towards the little things that you enjoy Thank you
Some how not sure why I did not request this film and when I noticed it on my account I try to cancel it but could not find how to. So I watch it anyway, the film was OK.
Not as good as 1 & 2 but if you like this type of film its not too bad. Quite a few subtitles in it as Italian is frequently spoken. Plenty of action and wort the watch.
"As a film buff with a penchant for dissecting cinematic experiences, I found myself thoroughly absorbed by 'The Equalizer 3 - Bonus X-Ray Edition.' Rating it a solid 4/5, this installment reinvigorates the franchise with Denzel Washington's magnetic return as Robert McCall. The action, relentless and stylish, meets the high expectations set by its predecessors, reminiscent of the visceral thrills in 'John Wick' and 'Taken.'
What sets this edition apart for enthusiasts like me is the X-Ray bonus content. It's like having a director's commentary in your living room, offering insights that deepen the narrative experience. While the plot doesn't stray far from the established formula, these additional features make the journey worthwhile, adding layers to McCall's character and the film's thematic elements.
Though it occasionally veers into familiar territory, 'The Equalizer 3' remains a compelling watch, enriched by its behind-the-scenes glimpses. It's a testament to the enduring appeal of vigilante justice, crafted for those who appreciate the art of action cinema."
