To note, I ordered a size 14.Laid flat unstretched they measure THIRTEEN inches across the waist making them a 26 inch waist unstretched.Because of this, I'd say they're NOT true to size.If you wish to be flattened in the stomach area and be very tight get your normal size. If you want these for comfort, get a size up !!They're rather thick, and not soft, but do stretch a bit.The top does have a 3 inch band around them, so good for pulling in.Flattering once you've got the right size, and remember these cannot be returned.

These are a nice soft cotton that has enough stretch but not a lot - you need to find the right size for a really good comfortable fit. I did find that they were very true to size and washed really well. They're well made and I was so happy with my first set that I bought another set. I used to wear Sloggi Tai briefs, which I wore for years, but I prefer these and they're far better value. The only very slight downside is that they aren't great for wearing in hotter weather as they are quite thick fabric.
