I bought some Velcro with it aswell just to make it easier as this was just a smidge smaller then my window but was big enough to sit round the frame of the window, works very well!!

I purchased this for a dual purpose - I live in a top floor flat that gets very warm and is very light from an adjacent warehouse building.

The sticky cups make the fitting of the product easy and although a bit fiddly it can be folded to make it smaller for smaller windows.

I don’t think it does much for heat but in regards to reducing light it’s great! I’m pleased with the quality and at £17 it was great value for money.

When it is up, it does block out lots of light. However, we've had to use the adjustable velcro as its too big for our window and the folds do let in light. As do the bits between the suction pads. I've stuck it down with some blu tac and it's perfect. But does take some fiddling.

These are great for kids room. Our kids sleep through the night with no light, these were perfect. Easy to put up and take down and block out ALL light. Do not put the fabric to take down as it can rip the fabric as the suction cups work really well! Take down by breaking the suction seal. I have bought multiple for kids rooms and travel.
