Which is easy enough but then forget to put it back lower when i switch back to radio.

This unit performs pretty well, but not perfectly. I'd normally give it 3 or 4 stars. But I'm giving it 5 because I tried 3 others. None of them worked, and I gave up for a while, but decided to try again with this one.
The problem with all of them is that the volume is not high enough. They also tend to produce static when you listen to an FM station.

With this one, the volume is not quite as high as I'd like, even with the volume turned all the way up on my phone, the radio, and the unit. (Full disclosure, I'm hard of hearing and I need the volume up a little to understand speech, especially on the freeway).

However, today I was listening to a podcast and the volume was actually fine, even on the freeway (but if I'd wanted to turn up a little more, I couldn't have). Sometimes it's a little less than sufficient. Generally it's (barely) adequate for speech, until I go on the freeway (more road noise). So overall it's barely adequate, sometimes not quite. For music, otoh, it's adequate, although again I'd like it to be a little more. But as I said above, this is the only one that's actually worked for me, that I'm not returning. I also like that the little instruction manual is pretty good and even gives some troubleshooting tips or workarounds.

The other problem is that when I switch from Bluetooth to FM, I sometimes get a lot of static and have to unplug the adapter if the signal is not strong. That's acceptable, though.
