I've waited for 3 months before writing this review.Overall I'm happy with this switchbot product. Make sure that you can actually fit them on your blinds, as they only attach to the blinds with adhesive pads. Two options are provided, which can be a great help.I bought these products mainly for security reasons. When I'm away or on holiday the blinds close at a pre set time. There is a sunset, sunrise function if required. You also get the option to charge the battery either manually or using the solar panel, which comes with the product. The battery life so far seems pretty good and you probably will only need to charge it maybe twice per year. I'm sure that with a few tweaks to the mounting system the product will fit virtually all compatible blinds.So overall a success and worth the price.

I purchased a single SwitchBot Smart Motorized Blind Kit and it worked so well I then bought the 3-pack for my other blinds.

These are really easy to install with no drilling etc. The instructions were straight forward to follow and the app walks you through the process with step by step visuals. Aside from the easy physical installation, the setup within the app worked flawlessly first time for each one I setup. I charged them up before use and a few months later, I'm only now having to charge them up again which is as expected. I am using the included solar panels fitted on the windows but it's the middle of winter so I don't think they will perform as well at this time of year in any case given the low light.

It's worth noting, the rod on one of my blinds is a bit stiff and not easy to twist, especially if the rod is pointing straight down (instead of holding it an an angle), this device is still able to open and close the blinds without any problem. I guess this will result in the battery life being shorter on this one but I was surprised it can open/close it with no issue.

The Switchbot app is well thought out and has all the necessary settings you would expect. You can control the blinds via the app and set them so they auto open/close at specific times. The app also as the ability to automate them based on sunrise/sunset which I think would be the best choice.

As a side note, whilst the app is comprehensive, after initially setting up within the app, I don't use it in any way to control them and instead I have incorporated them within Home Assistant as HA natively supports these Switchbot devices so I can control them along with all my other smart home devices.

Great item and feature rich app. Recommended!

I brought these to transform my blinds in the conservatory into automatic blinds. They have worked brilliantly with the small fitted blinds. I saw a video on you tube and then converted my bay window blinds with a pull cord to tilt blinds operated with these units. Depending on the mechanism to convert its been a bit of trial and error but all my blinds round the house are operated with this fantastic device 12 in all. A big cost at first and the wife wasn't happy but soon got used to the convenience and security. I have the curtain closing device aswell and it's just amazing.

I can't verify how long it would take to charge as at this time of year it is so dull and overcast as to make it useless I live in the north of Scotland. Not quite the constant darkness, but, not enough daylight to trigger the sunrise and sunset triggers in the app..

Plus's easy to set up, even with my blind which has both the rod and the cord side by side and very close to the end and works well.

Con's. It needs a very expensive hub to connect the Bluetooth to WiFi. Needed for Alexa, Google Assistant et all to voice control it.
Expensive at £70. I was lucky and grabbed it when it was £55.

 The SwitchBot blind tilt device is an excellent device for controlling your venetian blinds. The device is simple and easy to install and once installed makes controlling your blinds simple and easy.

My office window is recessed into the thick side wall of the building and there's a desk in front of it making accessing the blinds a real pain. As such I never close these blinds even at nights which often creates an uncomfortable feeling. I don't have neighbours but I can't help but thinking that someone could be looking in.

Anyway since installing this, the blinds can be closed in a second by telling Alexa or using the app on my phone. Price point is decent in my opinion and nice easy installation using the SwitchBot app.
