Purchased as a gift for someone who was still using old-style flip phone they find the A15 very easy to use and now cannot be parted from it. Just the ticket. But why, Samsung Seller, does the price vary so much?
I’ve used this phone for four months, so have had a decent amount of time to experience how it works before sharing my thoughts. I ordered the blue version, which looks like a lovely mid blue in the photo but was disappointed when the phone that arrived was almost black - it looks like a midnight blue in certain lights but isn’t the one that I ordered. I didn’t exchange it though as I thought it would be more hassle than it’s worth. Other than that, the phone looks great. It’s much heavier than my old phone, but the screen is a decent size and it’s slim enough to be easy to carry around.
This was an upgrade from a cheap phone that I’d had for four or five years, so I was expecting it to be an improvement. The specs showed that it should be better, however this is not what I have experienced. I would say it’s an ok phone if all you want is a phone to carry around to make calls and browse the internet occasionally. The call quality is decent and the battery life is very good.
The screen isn’t very responsive. I found myself struggling to answer calls because it wasn’t registering me swiping the screen as was necessary. I’ve had to turn the disability feature on so I can answer calls with one touch! I have the same issues when trying to bring up photos - there is sometimes a long delay between me pressing the thumbnail and the photos coming up. I read reviews before purchasing and had seen this mentioned, but didn’t realise it would be quite so bad!
The photo quality is terrible. As my last phone was so old and cheap but the photos were still great quality I expected a further improvement with this, looking at the specs. I’ve been disappointed; the quality of the photos is nowhere near as good as with my old phone. I take a lot of photos so this has been very disappointing.
Overall, I wouldn’t buy a cheap Samsung again as I’ve found that similar priced phones from other brands offer a much higher quality.
