I've seen a lot of hate for this product on reviews. I can understand where they are coming from, but I can't agree with them completely.

This is a sturdy cover which feels very much like a book, thus the name. I bought this for my S7+and loved it, so didn't need to think much about getting this for the bigger S8 ultra. Most of the negative reviews are because it didn't protect the device when dropped, and while this cover mitigates some of the impact, that is not it's main intention. So if you're buying a cover to protect the device from falls, look elsewhere. If you're buying this for the feel of a book and to use it as a decent stand, this is good.

The only downside compared to the S7 version, is the magnets holding the cover in place. The S8 ultra is much heavier than the S7 and the magnets that hold this in place are not strong enough. Meaning, I can lift the S7 just by holding one side of the cover, where as it doesn't support the S8 ultra. Wish this wasn't an issue. Also, a bit to pricey in my honest opinion.

I purchased this for the Tab8 ultra and I'm still using it on the Tab9 Ultra.
It's not designed for the Tab9 Ultra as the camera lens don't line up and therefore it doesn't fit flat on that side, it'll need a little work to redesign it on my end.
Point being it's such a good, case & stand in still using it, nothing in the Tab9 Ultra range comes close to this version.

There is a definitely problem of losing the pen. But that's a problem with the design of the product. The previous Samsung tablet had a case that kept the pen safe. I wouldn't but this if you take your tablet out of the house as you will loose the pen. Otherwise the magnets work and it stays on the tablet and it has two magnet lines that creates two angles to sit it at
