This is decent phone, rather straightforward to use despite annoying Samsung specifics - it's better than in the past, integration is much fluent for UX perspective. I like it's small, maybe I'd like it more if it would be a bit smaller. Very light, convenient to hold in the hand (used in the full protection cover). But it's pricey, even if I found a really good deal in comparison to official prices. I'd like others to make this size or smaller.

What I don't like is that Samsung still cannot hide front camera under the screen leaving a hole in the surface. It's annoying Nubia can and my original Poco hides camera mechanically (I like it - I rarely use front camera), but Samsung struggles while we pay so much. Seeing the hole while something is full screen reduces the pleasure.

Good thing about S22 is support for two physical SIM cards, the world is not there yet with eSim (most providers in UK doesn't offer them, even if they offer them in other countries). And they fit this into small phone, while they couldn't into Galaxy Flip.

Finally, the fingerprint reader is awful. It works like 50% of time, while Sony Xperia's one in power button worked like 90% of times correctly. I think I stop being a fan of fingerprint readers under the screen. Huge field for improvement.

I upgraded from an S10 to a S22 and am disppointed. It is small and the side buttons are very fiddly and clunky to use. This is annoying. Battery seems to quickly drain. Why is it smaller? I wish i could trade it in

I'm writing this some 18 months after I purchased the phone, absolutely nothing wrong with it. However with a bit of research this phone model, SM-9010, basically does not have the hardware or software built in to run an Esim! The functionality is not on the phone, so if you wanted to get a temp r-sim while on holiday in another country - NOT possible.

Andere Smartphones sind mir einfach zu groß geworden. Das S22 ist mit seinen 6,1“ das einzige Android Smartphone in der High-End Klasse. Der Formfaktor war für mich einer der Hauptgründe mich für dieses Handy zu entscheiden. Die ganze Haptik dieses Telefons ist wirklich gelungen und mit dem OneUi 5 und Android 13 ein Traum der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Das Display ist hell und hochauflösend und läuft bei mir mit 60Hz. Einen wirklichen Unterschied zu 120Hz finde ich, ist im Alltag kaum zu beobachten. Womit wir auch schon beim Akku wären, der oft kritisiert wird. Der Akku ist in den ersten Tagen wirklich eine Katastrophe, nach ca. 10 Tagen hat sich die erste Skepsis in Luft aufgelöst. Sicherlich ist der Akku klein, aber nachdem der Akku bzw. das Handy das Nutzerverhalten gelernt hat, kommt man locker über den Tag. Für mehr, und das muss man ganz klar sagen, reicht es nicht. Wer mehr will, braucht einfach mehr Leistung und muss leider den Formfaktor von 6,1“ verlassen. Viel mehr möchte ich zu diesem Gerät nicht sagen... Schaut euch vor dem Kauf euer Nutzerverhalten an und seid gegebenenfalls enttäuscht.

Ich überlege gerade noch das Handy einzutauschen gegen ein anderes S22. Der Fingerabdrucksensor ist eine reine Katastrophe. Bei meinem Sony hatte ich nie Probleme damit, mit dem S21 immer wieder mal, aber das S22 erkennt meinen Finger so gut wie nie. Nach dem Update kam immer der Hinweis, dass es etwas feucht besser funktioniert, das stimmt, aber ich werde meine Hände nicht jedes Mal befeuchten, bevor ich mein Handy verwende.

Gesichtserkennung funktioniert besser, aber auch eher selten. Ich gebe in 7 von 10 Fällen meinen Pincode ein um das Handy zu entsperren. Hierzu ist der Ziffernblock nicht unten, wie die Tastatur, sondern im oberen Teil des Bildschirms - nicht gerade intuitiv und unhandlich.

Ich hatte zusätzlich ein paar Stunden im Flieger im Flugmodus verbracht, und konnte mir nicht erklären, wieso das S22 so warm wurde, obwohl ich lediglich Spotify offline gehört habe.

Restliche Performance schien okay.

Zusatz: Die Akku performance ist wirklich sehr schlecht. Tatsächlich hält der Akku auch bei geringer Nutzung kaum einen Tag. Ich stecke es nun bei jeder Gelegenheit ans Ladegerät und trage immer eine Powerbank mit mir rum. Ob das die gute Kamera wett macht?

Ich habe aufgrund des schlechten Fingerabdruckssensors (funktioniert überhaupt nicht mehr) und Gesichtserkennung zumindest Ersatz angefordert.
