I purchased this watch as a birthday gift and after reading the reviews regarding battery life I was a little concerned but thought I’d chance it. I have had nothing but good things to say about this watch from the person I gave it to. They use it for running and the data this watch displays it really detailed. This is my first smartwatch and oh boy!! this changed the way I take care of my movements. I love the fact that this is extension of my smartphone - I can use this to talk, send texts and also browse the internet. Note that your mobile should be close by to do all these. I took this for a swim in the ocean and no trouble with the water resistant. My only gripe is Samsung could do something about the battery life - I have to charge it every single day.

The watch is probably very good but rendered nigh on useless due to the poor battery. I've not had chance to test the sleep tracking because it is on charge every night before I go to bed.

Review edited to reflect 3 weeks of ownership: I've turned off lots of features, always on etc and lowered the brightness and disabled or uninstalled some apps to squeeze more battery life out of it. Yes it has improved. I can now put it on in the morning and still have 20% to 30% battery life left come bed time. So I still don't get to use the sleep tracker!

Very pleased with the watch, so many features and after the first couple of charges the battery will last at least 20 hrs or longer, depending on use. I have had 36hrs from a single charge.

The Wear app has a lot of flexibility and the Samsung Health app is a joy.

The wireless charger makes life so much easier than the chargers where the pins need to line up.

Looking for a new watch as my previous, just lost its charge within an hour.
This watch is Brilliant. Very impressed with its performance after a week.
Dispite being sent from Germany for the German market, every feature has worked with no issue.
I did have trouble with an app that would continue to fail to install to be able to use Samsung Pay. Spoke to Samsung tech and they confirmed its because its for the German market. But after talking to them and probably having a better Internet connection it worked and i have paid for things using both Google and Samsung pay.

Wegen der, im Vergleich zu anderen Marken, recht geringen Akkulaufzeit und dem Fakt, dass sich die Samsung Health App nur in Verbindung mit einem Samsung Smartphone voll ausnutzen lässt gibt es von mir nur 4 Sterne.

Ich bewerte hier die Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic, 42 mm.
Es ist meine erste Smartwatch, daher kann ich nicht mit anderen Uhren vergleichen.
Diese Uhr nutze ich jetzt seit zwei Tagen. Bisher bin ich rundum zufrieden, alles ist so, wie beschrieben, es gibt nichts auszusetzen.
Die Messergebnisse scheinen akzeptabel. Es sind ja keine med. verwertbaren Daten, darauf wird immer wieder hingewiesen, sondern lediglich Orientierungswerte.
Die Inbetriebnahme war unkompliziert. Smartphone und die dort installierte Software "Wearables" wurden sofort erkannt. Lediglich die Tatsache, dass alle möglichen Apps und das Betriebssystem ein update verlangten war lästig und führte dazu, dass die Uhr wegen zu hoher Temperatur eie Pause brauchte. Das mag aber daran liegen, dass ich eine refurbished Uhr gekauft habe, die evtl. schon etwas älter ist. Etwas schade ist, dass es keine Möglichkeit gibt (jedenfall hab ich bisher keine gefunden), ALEXA zu steuern. ein nettes Gimmik ist, dass man die Kamera des Smartphons fernsteuern kann.
Ich hab zwar, wie bereits gesagt keinen Vergleich, möchte aber trotzdem das wirklich tolle Display lobend erwähnen.
Hell, auch bei autom. Regelung, scharfe Konturen, knackige Farben.
Fazit: aus meiner Sicht eine wirklich gelungene Smartwatch die ich gerne weiterempfehle.
