Typically, I've used flagship samsungs (S22 Ultra), Sonys (Xperia 5 IV) or pixels.

My most recent pixel was giving me issues with the charging port and I wanted a change. I decided to opt for something more 'modest' in price, but hopefully still achieving a high spec for my money.

Summary - This fulfilled my needs perfectly. Punches much higher for its price point, and although it has last years processor (albeit, high-end - worth remembering) you really would never know - and why should you?! Feels great, looks great, screen is superb - and the unboxing experience has nice touches (see below).

- Superb premium aesthetics (inc. the camera bump), and it feels great in the hand
- Bundled cover is good quality, a great compliment to it, and has a grippy feel (silicone)
- Fast and snappy UI
- Nice software touches/options (e.g. always on display options, and fingerprint animation options etc)
- Great camera quality
- Face recognition is excellent, even in low light / accurate & quick fingerprint reader
- Bundled 80W charger is wonderful (25%-100% took 25 mins on initial charge!)
- Battery could easily last 2 days

CONs
- Not having google photos as my default gallery app is a nuisance

I was very sceptical when I bought the oppo find x5 on pre-order because I had no prior experience with the brand, but after almost 6 months of use I can say I really like the phone. I tend to buy flagship models of phones because I love taking photographs and like a good quality camera for when I do not have my DSLR with me. This phone take amazing quality pictures and I cannot fault Oppo on that front. The phone's interface is great and somewhere between Huawei and Samsung I would say but a really great interface. On the downside, the screen picks up fingerprints easily so I find I am contantly cleaning it. In addition, there are a few small features that I am missing from ther phones I had before such as that I can only access my camera from the lock screen, but not my flashlight or calculator. When in my picture gallary, I cannot select to edit a picture through other editing software on my phone directly, I need to open the reloevant software and find the relevant picture again. As I said, very small things that would make a big difference to my use of the phone but I am not regretting my purchase. I would definitely buy this phone again.

This is a very very good phone in all aspects. I highly recommend it. It's a phone that grows on you.

The camera is very good and you can also install the pixel camera in addition to the phone camera app and it actually works very well. So you have both the Oppo camera and the Pixel one and you can use both in low light and decided which one you like.

Seems to be a great phone, however, up to now, I have one issue.
Out of the box it works fine, after the initial update done over WiFi this phone then disconnects phone calls at exactly 29 minutes and 50 seconds.
I have had three oneplus 9 phones that all done the same thing and have been returned to amazon, but also the oneplus phones had other faults like the camera opening and freezing on a blurd screen. Now this Oppo Find X5 5g is doing the same thing as the oneplus phones where as it is disconnecting every phone call at 29 minutes and 50 seconds. These two types of phones have the same parent company and share very similar softwhere, whether it is a oppo/oneplus glitch or a Google 12 glitch I don't know, but hopefully this will be fixed with a future softwhere update.
It's dissapointing to know that my new phone is not perfect.

Ho aspettato due mesi per lasciare recensione in modo da esserne sicuro.
Telefono per me eccezionale, bel design con vetro leggermente curvo, come lo cercavo. La curvatura è leggera e quindi conferisse una maggiore bellezza ma al tempo stesso non introduce limitazioni d'uso.
Prestazioni eccezionali, fluido, veloce con una batteria che a me dura due giorni.
Ovviamente il mio utilizzo è moderato, non guardo tanti video e non ci gioco ma lo uso tutto il giorno per lavoro e tempo libero (mail, whatsapp, internet, tiktok)
Un'altra caratteristica per me bellissima è la ricarica wireless. Ho una macchina con ricarica ad induzione e mi basta caricarlo mentre viaggio per andare a lavoro che ho la carica per tutto il giorno. Da quando uso la ricarica wireless raramente lo ricarico di notte perché arrivo a fine giornata con il 50% circa e mi basta quel tantino durante il viaggio per gestire un'altra giornata.
È vero che non parliamo di un modello recentissimo ma è anche vero che parliamo di un top di gamma di un paio di anni fa che si è regolarmente aggiornato ad Android 14 e che in due mesi ha già ricevuto due patch di sicurezza.
Ho pensato che potesse essere meglio acquistare per 330 euro un top di gamma del 2022 piuttosto che, per lo stesso prezzo, un mediogamma del 2024 e per me la scelta è stata azzeccatissima.
