Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Bought because my Moto G10 developed an issue and the battery on my much loved Moto G7 Plus is showing its' age. all in all very happy. It is really very much the successor to the Moto G10 but faster and can connect to 5g networks.I dislike that Finger print reader has been moved to the power button but it works well.It is very close in size and layout to the G10 but slightly thinner and much lighter. As with all Moto phones the Android installation is nice and clean with a minimum of bloatware I haven't tried the camera yetVery very fast on 5G when it can be found also faster than expected vdownloads ths on 4G and 4G+Note this is not a dual SIM phone although description says it is
I resisted getting a smartphone for a long time, largely because the people I know who have them have endless trouble with theirs. However, I was using a 4G-wifi device which was costing £24 a month for 30GB, and I realised the savings I could make in a year by using a phone as a hotspot would pay for a smartphone within a year, so I read hundreds of reviews for different phones and settled on this one as the most affordable one that lacked complaints about unreliability issues. I bought a 50GB SIM to use in it costing £11 a month (£10 initially). A review here gave me the confidence that this should work as it was from someone who was already using this model of phone as a hotspot with the same network. The hotspot works beautifully, and it's much faster at getting the data in, so it now allows my computer to play youtube videos without the picture freezing repeatedly.
Everything else about the phone is thus a bonus as my main need was to connect my computer to the internet through it, but I was looking for a phone that wouldn't cut out during calls or do bizarre things with the display to make the keyboard and speakerphone hard to access during calls - the kind of problems that plague the smartphones of other members of my family, and this one did not disappoint as it just does the job properly without complications.
I've never been interested in computer games, but there was one exception, and it would test the phone maximally: I was hoping to find a formula 1 game, and I settled on Monoposto which it handles with ease, so I've spent a month on the Netherlands circuit (having turned off all the driving assistance). My only complaint is that if the battery level hits 20%, it flashes up a huge warning message which makes driving on impossible. Another issue is that it's hard to hold the device without occasionally hitting the brake by accident with the skin of the left hand bulging round the side onto the edge of the screen unless you turn the phone upside down to put the wider margin there, but then the screen keeps dimming unless you search for a setting to turn that off - I think the problem's caused by a proximity sensor, but it can be resolved if you find the right menu.
The other apps that attracted my attention all work on it too: Stellarium, electronic compass, GPS, a synthesiser (the speakers are good and loud without distortion), instrument tuner (because I make flutes) - everything I want works on it just fine. The camera does a good job too - I've just been testing it on nacreous clouds and got good results after finding an exposure control (a long touch on the screen brings it up), though nothing like as good as what you see directly with your eyes. I'd put a picture in here if I could transfer it easily to this computer, but I don't have an easy way to do that, and connecting it with a cable doesn't appear to enable me to access its files, perhaps because they're on the internal storage rather than a micro-SD card - that's something which I need to investigate further, but it may just be that I don't know enough about how to use it. Regardless of that, all my doubts about smartphones have been blown away by this one. I can't know if it's the best one in its approximate price range though - there's a Samsung costing £30 to 40 more which was my second choice, but whether it's better or not I cannot tell as I'm more than happy with this one and am certainly keeping it.
Edit: Further information about its capability. It can screen record (i.e. video what's happening on the screen including the audio and/or microphone input), and it can do this while running that formula one game with smooth results - I wasn't expecting it to have the processing power needed for that, but it handles it fine.
It is a great phone with a lot of great features including NFC, eSIM, 5G, fingerprint sensor at an affordable price. It is cheaper than what I paid for my previous motorolla phone (Moto G7 Play). It does NOT have two slots for two physical sims. It can only support one physical sim. However, it supports eSIM feature. So if your telephone provider offers this facility, you will be able to host two phone connections on this phone - one through the physical sim and the other through the eSIM. The speed and response of the phone is good. NFC is quite useful. you can make contactless payments through Google Pay directly through the phone. The battery lasts about a day or more for normal use. Overall, I think it is a very good phone at this price. My older motorola phone lasted for 5 years and still its working. I hope this one will also last that long. However, be careful if you are looking for a dual sim phone. It does not have dual sim slot. Some of the reviews for this phone were misleading.
I'm won over to Motorola as this phone is well-made, easy to use, excellent camera, high quality screen, really good storage etc, on a par with other high-end brand phones but way more affordable. Only irritation is it auto-backs up to my Google storage, which doesn't have much capacity and I don't want to pay for extra storage, but can be changed via settings - better if it had back-up storage options when setting up though so don't have to retro-select, which is annoying. Wouldn't put me off getting another one in the future though, well happy with it.
Having used this phone extensively for a week now I'm very pleased with the overall experience. Setup was straightforward and it updated to Android 14 along with the latest security patches.
As usual with Motorola it's a very lean android with only a couple of unnecessary apps that are easily uninstalled.
The sound quality is good as is the video playback, certainly enough for my eyes and ears. Calls are clear and the battery life is fine.
I did wonder if 4gb of ram would be slow compared to my previous phone but I've not noticed any significant lag. With 128gb storage onboard and SD card there is no room for worry. If that's not enough then it's easy to use with a usb stick
I have only I've minor gripe and that is the lack of a case that came as standard with previous iterations of Motorola phones. The back is quite slippy.
That said, it's a very impressive 5g phone for not a lot of money. Thoroughly recommend.
Couldn't rate this phone highly enough. fantastic value! Camera quality and storage are my number 1 requirements in a phone and this ticks those boxes. The battery lasts all day (with heavy usage) and I can get all apps on the play store. I've also impressed my family with the great value of this phone and they moving over to this one when it's time to replace existing phones.
I bought this as a spare phone and there's nothing wrong with it at all. It's not as quick as the newer phones but what it does it does very well. Good camera, good quality stereo speakers and a decent screen. Plus, it's 5G. You can't go wrong for £100. It's refurbished but there are no marks on it at all.
Got this phone and it's been nothing but great! That's an annoying Motorola start ! Let's go Moto something like that! You can get rid of it by turning it off so it doesn't say that and it just starts it's in the settings! But the phone works great it's very quick and not too bulky! You can go for bigger screens than there very hard to hold in your hand! This one's worth the money! You don't have to worry about trying to get rid of bloatware because there isn't any other than the startup moto greeting! That can be fixed in settings!
