Arrived and picked up fine. When I opened the Amazon packaging noticed the security seal was broken. The instructions slim box open too inside main box. How did this happen? Otherwise a good phone. I knew the camera was average for the price. A bit disappointed at broken seal and opened instructions box. UPDATE This camera was sold as new. Since taking photos the main camera is often blurred no focus. Have just found that the Moto Camera Tuner was installed from the app store Feb 8 2023. My purchase was collected 26 Feb 2023. Hence box opened and instruction box open. This is not a new phone. My purchase was for a new phone

If you are looking for a budget mobile with decent specs, not too big then this is an excellent option.

I am not a fan of most mobiles as at 6.5ins upwards they are like mini tablets. Plus they take up ample room in the pocket. At 6.28ins this is a great compromise especially coming from a smaller Google Pixel 3a like me.

Motorola have included a case and super quick 68w charger in the box, thank you for that! The handset is very light, thin and feels great in the hand.

Upon set up there are a few additional apps that can be uninstalled but Motorola have provided a pretty clean version of Android. There are a good amount of options to tailor the Edge 30 Neo to your preferred style.

Spec wise the Snapdragon 695 is nowhere near top end but for apps, browsing and light gaming is more than enough. The Dolby Atmos speaker is excellent and goes loud.

Camera is okay for the price point however I don't purchase a mobile based on its camera.

I think for the price this is an excellent budget mobile and for my requirements it is ideal.

Beautiful little phone, the fantastic upgrade from my G7 power that my huge G60s wasn't! 8GB ram is definitely what I was missing, smaller oled screen and efficient CPU mean the battery life is still good whilst 1080 resolution means websites etc work properly. No need to charge overnight, charges so quickly it's done by the time I've had a shower and breakfast although you could put it on a wireless pad next to your bed which would take all night at 5w and if it moves and doesn't charge overnight the 68w charger it comes with means that's not a problem, you can easily put a days worth in it before leaving the house.
Out of the box it didn't want to do face recognition and the selfie camera seemed to have a ridiculously yellow filter on it but next morning in daylight it worked ok and still unlocked in artificial light that night, there was an update so possibly that had a bug fix in it as I just tried the selfie camera in pitch darkness and using the screen border to light me up the colour seemed fine.
I've had no problem with the fingerprint scanner and under the screen is certainly better than on the back but I still feel built into the power button on the side like the wife's old Razer was the best place and I can't understand why more phones don't do that! (Yes I went back to a G7 from a superfast Razer with 4k screen resolution because it munched through its battery in half a day with light use!)

Camera is poor compared with iphones, especially the zoom function but then what do you expect when you pay £200. Once file manager is installed, files on the phone can be accessed by a Windows computer to store or backup files - a vital feature making Android phones so much better than their competitors. Texts are received in the Messages app which is quite odd. Overall very pleased with the purchase.

Upgraded from my aging G7 power .. The 30 neo is the perfect upgrade . It's about the same size , only much much faster with a better screen . Battery is smaller but lasts just as long . Android 13 is great , WiFi and Bluetooth are more reliable ..Camera is good , love the macro .. only downside is there's no SD card slot for more storage ....but 128gb is more than enough for me ... For £199 it's a bargain ....

Only issue i have with this phone is it takes forever to upgrade to android 13, the phone comes with android 12 and you must process all of the security upgrades for 12 before you even get to the prompt to install 13 (time taken 2hrs 45mins to get from 12 to13 WOW motorola this process could have been much quicker if you could directly go to android 13 from the get go). compromised battery strength 4020mah for lighter weight still pretty good battery due to the snappy sd695 chipset.
