This is hands down the best budget phone there has ever been. It leaves the Samsung S5 (my previous phone) in the dust. At £150 it is a total bargain.

There is very little pre-installed software and no crapware. No bloat. No nonsense. It comes with a nice plastic protector for the back, has a large screen, super battery (It's so far lasted 2 days out of the box - no charge by me yet), and lovely colour and contrast.

It's everything a budget phone should be and more. The microphone and camera are infinitely better than the Samsung S5. Response times are excellent. The finger print scanner works a charm. Don't wait. Buy it.

As an aside: It only takes Nano Sim - but if you go on Youtube you will see plenty of tutorials for how you can cut your own, using scissors, from your existing Micro Sim. It's quite easy and worked well for me.

Only downside is this is 2gb ram and 16gb storage. But I don't care.

For the Price, this a brilliant device, and being Motorola comes with Stock 'Oreo' with no bloatware. Its fast and slick and feels well made. Other than the usual Display and camera enhancements it stuns me that people are happy to pay around £900 for a device which in esscence does the same thing.

Ultimately, if your not bothered about taking or displaying 4K video / Photos (which the human eye wont really detect on a Mobile handset anyway) then you could do a lot worse than the E5 handset while saving yourself lots of £££ in the process.

This replaced my old One plus one phone. Looked at getting a mainstream phone like Samsung etc, but winced at the thought of paying £500 +. Found this on amazon and found the online reviews. Given its price point it's brilliant. OK it's not as fast as some major brands and it may not have a high definition screen or a zillion megapixel camera. BUT put this in a basic protective case and it looks high end. To put this in perspective, this phone does 80% of what a high end phone does for a fraction of the cost. Massive screen and the best bit is the battery. It lasts for days. If you want a good mobile with a big screen and a long lasting battery don't hesitate in getting one of these. For the price you can't go wrong.

This must be the laggiest new phone I came across in the living memory. I'm really disappointed as I had a moto G4 and the exceptional moto G5 plus (this is a brilliant phone but has got small-ish screen) by this phone. It takes ages to respond and to launch camera and take a picture is a pain: you forgot you actually pressed the button!
Battery life is also rather disappointing for the large battery this phone has. I thought I'll get a day out of it but no chance.
What I like is the display which is very good for a budget phone but the rest is really disappointing. I'm returning the phone and I'll probably try the G6 play or Moto G6 as I'm a Motorola fan and I like Motorola phones (but this Moto E5 Plus is a failure I could say).

I purchased this phone to replace a Moto G6 Play that had served me well for many hours. The battery life is shockingly good and drains slower than any phone I've had before. However that means nothing when the phone can barely run an app! I tried install and run Pokemon Go, a game that has worked on all my previous phones, and it was completely unplayable. Crashing at every opportunity, running super slow. It's all good and well running for days on one charge but not when you can't do what you want with it - do NOT consider this phone if you are looking to run games / bigger apps as they will not run like they should. Consider bigger RAM.

I bought this phone to replace my previous Motorola G4 and I'm glad I did. While the actual handset is not much bigger, the screen is.

The phone came quickly, fully charged and with a flexible see-through plastic case. The plastic on the case it came with is not quite as sturdy as the case I bought to go with it, but if you want to protect your phone without spending extra money, it will do.

The battery life is brilliant - if I'm being conservative I still only need to charge it once every three days, and it stands up well to a day of gaming and streaming. The back camera is a similar quality to previous recent Motorola phones so I wouldn't recommend it if you want amazing photos, however I feel like the front camera is slightly better than previous incarnations.

All in all, the quality for money is good and this phone stands up to the other reviews I read about it being the best phone under £200. If you're looking for something relatively cheap but with all the features and storage of modern smartphones, and a good battery life, I absolutely recommend this phone.
