Very fast compared to the laptop sdcard reader. Used a sandisk extreme rated at 170 mb/s. As you can see from the images the laptop reader was no where near the quoted speeds for the sdcard. Using this lexar reader made a huge difference well worth the purchase.

I have loads of these - I use them for both stills and video, shooting events and weddings. Fast enough to record 4K video at 60fps from a Canon R6, and holds around 4000 RAW stills from the R6. Never had any problems with data loss (touch wood!).
