The small size and robust frame, makes this a handy phone to carry around, when travelling light. I also like that it will attract much less interest from thieves. The screen and audio quality is good. The phone has a decent amount of storage capacity. Data transmission is on the slow side, but it is adequate for most things that I would want to use the phone for. The Android version is dated, but that is unlikely to be a significant problem. What is a significant problem is the condition of the battery. The battery is in need of replacement with a fresher one. Add in the cost of a new battery and the price will be nearing that of a much more up to date alternative device. If you on a very tight budget it might be worth considering.

Those of us who used mobile phones prior to the advent of the smartphone fondly remember having the ability to slip it into a pocket or bag without having to consider whether it would fit or get damaged. Since then their physical size has increased massively, and although I love having a large screen there are times when I just want a compact phone again.

This one is small and light enough to easily slip into a very small bag, or any outfit without showing itself and that’s where its value lies. It’s not a toy or a gimmick, and for those times when sizes really does matter this little device is perfect. I’ve been using it for just those times, and when all I needed is simple connectivity and smartphone functions. Forget following the socials, scrolling through the news or playing games – this is for when you can keep things simple.

I like that it is supplied with a suitable silicon case, and there is even a film screen protector in the box. Build quality is not going to win awards but it all works well enough, and I’ve found it does the job okay even if I do have to wear my spectacles when I use it. It’s even started a few interesting conversations when friends have spotted me using it.
