Stylish phone with good performance - A bargain with redemption offer

I have had the phone for around 6 weeks now and I am very pleased with it, setting up was a breeze cloning all the data and apps from my old phone, it took around 20 minutes to clone over 60 GB of data. The phone feels very nice in the hand, the screen is excellent. This is quite a large phone and I personally wouldn't go any larger than this, you can still get the Honor Magic 6 Lite in your pocket but if it was any bigger you wouldn't be able to.

In my experience the battery lasts around one and a half days and not the two days claimed by Honor, but I realise that this is dependent on use and how many apps are operating in the background. At this price point the Honor Magic 6 Lite is a great phone. I bought it on Amazon with the Honor redemption offer whereby after purchase you can apply online for a HONOR Band 9 Fitness Watch and Honor Earbuds X6 With Charge Box, these devices are the latest versions and had just been released, worth £100 combined at the time, this really did make the purchase of the Honor Magic 6 Lite a bargain. When applying for the redemption you are told it can take up to 6 weeks to receive the items but mine arrived in 10 days, well done Honor!

So thought ill have a look at whats on offer this magic 6 lite was £70 off so thought id try it pretty much similar os to previous model better battery better screen better camera screen colours are brighter and more dynamic just the copy of some apps and passwords (bank) that didn't just copy over all in all great phone great price

Superficially, an attractive slim phone, in enticing colour. The "smart" bit works well. The camera functions as it should, good internet connections, sound colours. Visually a smart phone.
However, the "phone" aspect was a disaster. I could phone out, but incoming calls were irregular. Sometimes you could receive them, other times no. Plus, you didn't get a warning that you had missed a call. Not acceptable when the phone only has 2 functions, phoning out and phoning in. Incoming calls were consistently inconsistent.
We tried everything, changing SIMs, spent ages with BT tecchies.
Honor customer services were anything but. No service.
They said I could have it repaired. I replied a new phone shouldn't need repairing.
I had lost confidence in the brand and I wanted my money back - not a replacement or a repair.
Amazon Customer Services were brilliant and I received the refund via their good offices.

I love this phone. My previous handset was a Huawei Mate 20X which is a large phone and I have had it for 5 years. I was looking for a large 5g Android 13 replacement but I couldn't find one at a reasonable price. Although the Honor Magic 6 lite isn't as large as my Huawei, it has an adequate sized screen.
The Honor Magic is very much lighter than my Huawei and a lot slimmer. I like the position of the on/off button and the fingerprint scanner is on the front of the screen. They battery life is also very good.
Setting up was easy and the phone comes with all the usual Google apps. At a price which is under £250 I'm not complaining. If you are looking for a fully loaded, up to date and reasonably priced phone you can't go wrong. I would definitely recommend.

It would have been nice if some basic information had been included in the description of this phone. IE no wireless charging support, no eSIM support, and no charger included.
Given the absence of those particular features, this is an excellent phone for the £299 I paid.
Why spend fortunes on "pro' or 'max' just for some functionality that can easily be done without.
Oh and the battery life is insane
