This is a grey import item with no warranty with Google in the UK. My device was originally meant to be sold in Japan. Beware before you buy.

The phone does work with my UK sim, but it is early days so far. I feel that the listing is a bit misleading in that sense.

Der Akku meines sechs Jahre alten Handys begann langsam aber sicher zu schwächeln, was mich dazu veranlasste nach einem Ersatz zu suchen. Der Preis und vor allen Dingen die Größe sollten stimmen, da ich keinesfalls eines dieser fast tablet-großen Geräte haben wollte.
Nach einiger Suche und Recherchen im Netz habe ich mich schließlich für das Google Pixel 7a entschieden, ein Modell vom letzten Jahr, das aber im Gegensatz zum neuen Pixel 8a deutlich günstiger zu haben ist. Mit einem Preis vom 379 Euro lag es gerade noch im Rahmen dessen, was ich ausgeben wollte. Die Bildschirmdiagonale von etwas über 6 Zoll ist für mich okay. Allerdings ist das Google recht schwer, laut Hersteller ca. 194 Gramm.
Erster Eindruck: Ein optisch sehr schickes Gerät, sehr gute Verarbeitung, Ladekabel liegt bei, Netzteil nicht (wie bei fast allen neuen Handymodellen, kann aber zusätzlich erworben werden).
Bei Inbetriebnahme muss man sich erst einmal durch das Startmenü arbeiten, sofern (wie bei mir) ein altes, noch Funktionstüchtiges Handy vorhanden ist, kann man die beiden Geräte in der Regel per USB-Kabel koppeln und die Daten übertragen. Das funktioniert einfach und schnell, obgleich mir zwischenzeitlich ein Fehler gemeldet wurde (Keine Verbindung, eventuell Kabel tauschen), waren nach einem Neustart alle Daten auf dem neuen Handy. Natürlich müssen sämtliche Banking-Apps im Anschluss neu installiert werden/das neue Gerät in der App hinterlegt werden (das kommt immer ein wenig darauf an, bei welcher Bank man ist und wie diese das geregelt hat, ich habe verschiedene „Modelle“ kennengelernt, insgesamt war es aber recht unproblematisch, sofern man alle Passwörter parat hat). Sogar die Huawei Health App konnte ich ohne Probleme und per Anleitung aus dem Netz auf das Google Pixel laden 😉
Fazit: Im Vergleich zu meinem alten Handy liegen Welten dazwischen! Bedienkomfort, Funktionen, Geschwindigkeit … wirklich super. Gesichtserkennung funktioniert beim Entsperren so schnell, dass man es kaum mitbekommt, alternativ per Fingerabdrucksensor, der sich auf dem Display befindet und perfekt funktioniert. Die Kamera ist sensationell. Es ist eben eine komplett „neue Generation“ Handy, wer das Google Pixel als Ersatz für sein in die Jahre gekommenes Modell kauft, wird verstehen, was ich meine.
Wer sein Handy normal nutzt, also zum Telefonieren, Nachrichten schreiben, Fotografieren und Banking, der wird mit diesem Modell absolut zufrieden sein. Sicherheitsupdates gibt es für das 7a bis 2028, Versionsupdates bis 2026. Der Preis von zurzeit 379 Euro ist absolut okay. Ich bin sehr zufrieden!

Prima di tutto, il design elegante e il colore grigio antracite danno a questo dispositivo un aspetto premium che si distingue. È non solo un piacere per gli occhi ma anche molto pratico da utilizzare quotidianamente. La transizione al Pixel 7a è stata per me una scelta ovvia, data la mia lunga storia d'amore con i prodotti Google, e non mi ha deluso.

Il miglioramento più significativo che ho notato è la risposta del lettore di impronte digitali; è veloce e affidabile - una vera benedizione rispetto al modello precedente. Anche se il riconoscimento del volto è limitato solo allo sblocco del dispositivo e non può essere utilizzato per l'autenticazione nelle applicazioni, trovo che questa sia una funzionalità comoda che aggiunge un ulteriore livello di sicurezza e facilità d'uso.

Inoltre, la connettività 5G è un cambiamento radicale. La velocità e l'affidabilità della connessione sono notevoli, permettendomi di rimanere sempre connesso e produttivo. E cosa dire della fotocamera? Il grandangolo cattura immagini straordinarie con dettagli nitidi, rendendola l'ideale per immortalare ricordi o paesaggi.

Infine, la durata della batteria è semplicemente straordinaria. Raggiungere la fine della giornata con ancora una percentuale di batteria disponibile è ormai la norma, anche con un uso intensivo. È evidente che Google ha messo molto impegno nel migliorare l'efficienza energetica del Pixel 7a, e questo si riflette nell'esperienza d'uso quotidiana.

In conclusione, il Google Pixel 7a è un dispositivo che consiglierei a chiunque cerchi un'esperienza Android pura, supportata dalle innovazioni tecnologiche di Google. Se siete fan del brand o semplicemente alla ricerca di un telefono affidabile, performante e con una fotocamera eccellente, non potete sbagliare con il Pixel 7a. Un solido 5 stelle da parte mia!
