Received a dud one and had to send it back for a replacement which was a bit irritating as Amazon's refund was still pending after several weeks. As it is a refurbished item I suppose you get what you pay for. The system foxed me a little to begin with as its onboard storage is not big enough to take the full Western Europe map. You need to buy a microSDHC which is also irritating as one piece of literature says it will accept 64gbytes but the reality is that the software is correct and it only takes 32GB. Typically I went with the first piece of info and bought the larger one. The unit also charges on a USB A cable which I was surprised about. It is supplied with one so no problems but seems pretty antique! Once you have everything sorted out then the maps take quite a while to download. There is also an option to download something called Garmin Basecamp. As a bit of a nerd I looked into what it offers but various forums describe it as for experts only, very cumbersome to use and not really supported by Garmin anymore. One review said it was brilliant and ran his company but he/she may have been a tour guide. The system is pretty easy to set up with motorhome dimensions and has various warnings that flash up which is useful. A couple of roads have been described as lacking data on risks to wider/taller vehicle but nothing bad has happened yet. I find the graphics a bit cartoonish. Update: this has driven me bonkers over the past two trips in Spain/France/Ireland/UK and will probably go in the skip or on eBay! I live in the New Forest which has loads of cattle grids and roads I know I can fit the camper on are shown by the satnav as effectively being impassable and to make an immediate u-turn. WRONG! In Europe heading towards a campsite that we knew was on the main road (in Potes Spain) the satnav took us off the main road and then tried to make us go down a tiny side street. WRONG! Loads of other things it has done wrong which is incredibly frustrating because the rest of it is so good. Easy access to off-motorway petrol; all the campsites were listed; really easy to switch between distance to travel or time left or arrival time etc etc. I have updated the maps on board but it still leaves me frothing with rage so out it goes......
