I will begin by saying these locks are VERY sturdy. I actually dropped one on my foot and it hurt, a lot! Build quality feels really good.

My issue (and I accept this may be operator error) is that the code setting is extremely fiddly as you have to maintain pressure on the reset button with a pointy object (pen) whilst moving the wheels. I managed to get one set properly but not the other. I set both to the exact same code but, when I tried to reopen one, it won’t open. I must have moved one of the wheels by mistake.

I tried different nearby permutations but nothing worked. So I spent ages going through the trick of working my way from 000-999 to try and locate the number. Still won’t open on any permutation.

So basically it looks like I have one working lock and a dud. I don’t understand it as I was very careful with the code setting. But as there is no over ride code and no TSA key, I will probably have to put one in the bin.

Conclusion - the sturdiness is excellent but the code setting system isn’t good enough.
