Meh, not the best.
The shine means that it shows every tiny imperfection, so only use it on a smooth solid coloured surface and take it slow applying. My roll came with wrinkles already in it, so I had to discard a large portion. Sone wrinkles still remain and are very visible. It is quite sheer, so it did not cover the paint stains on the tabletop - the whole reason I bought it. Otherwise it's a fine product, not difficult to apply and seems to be fairly easy to remove afterwards. Would happily try in a different colour and finish. I assume something like a grey matte stone imitation would work great to cover up a surface.

I used this on a white dresser I have as due to using diffusers and dripping oil on it, I had damaged the wood.
This sticky back plastic worked really well as it was the exact same width! However you can still see some damage through it. A thicker plastic would have been ideal.

Posted pics of comparisons against other white things.
It’s very hard to work with but with a lot of effort, it smooths out okay.
It doesn’t stick as well as other papers.
It’s quite thin in comparison to other papers.
It isn’t as shiny as it looks in the store.
Even when stuck over something that was already white, it seemed to just throw shade and give off a slightly grey tone.

I would have returned it but annoyingly, it’s one of those items that requires you to print your own label for return with no other options.
I have a full roll left which I’ll never use so be aware of that before you buy.

If you’re purchasing this item for cupboards, drawers etc and you want a bright white, glossy finish - this isn’t the product.
I gave it 3 stars because I think it would work perfectly well for anything other covering large areas (like labelling etc)
