However, others say that it wouldn't open Velux window, telescopic but kept extending then went into two pieces, and that it impedes opening.

It does the job, Just. It's a little clunky and the opening is a loose fit for the velux bar. This means instead of leveraging the bar its self you have to pull and twist on the pole. Despite the extender being locked it often just pulls through extending further. Assuming the 2m pole is vertical you'd need to tilt the bar 45° to get the action on the velux bar this requires space in the room. Almost knocked a TV off the stand numerous times.I didn't need the blind pull bit as my velux obviously doesn't have blinds. I found that that bit digs into the wood surround so I cut it off before this thing does anymore damage. This might be worth taking into account if you have wood framed velux windows.
It broke the first time I used it to open a window in the ceiling. The metal covering slid down the pole, leaving a gap, and now it cannot be tightened to the desired length. To add insult to injury, the hook is badly designed, and it was difficult to remove it from the metal opening bar of the window. I shall not be ordering the replacement from Amazon because this is pretty shoddy for something so basic.
Arrived in good time. We have had a pole yet required a second for another room. This pole is longer than our Velux original pole and is easier to use. Good quality. Our Velux are pulled bar type.
Le crochet n'est pas assez ouvert pour mon Velux, si on veut que ça accroché il faut forcer. De plus la partie telescopique ne tient pas, ça s'allonge quand on tire pour ouvrir... Déçu de mon achat
