You can keep your snake oils and stuff with sexy names, Bepanthen is the real deal.
Bepanthen is a trusted name that has been around for generations, and this stuff carries on its excellent reputation. On freshly inked skin it is soothing and very hydarating. On older work it keeps it looking fresh.Use 3 or 4 times on new ink, maybe every other day as part of your skincare routine on healed skin. You won't regret going with a trusted classic brand.
So I have quite a few tattoos normally used another product, after the first part of my half sleeve, my arm was very sore for about a week afterwards and took ages to stop pealing and scabbing, I was told to use this for the first couple of days after the tattoo then swap to Bio Oil. This was the best advice ever. So the following morning after removing the cling film I washed my arm and started application, itโs thick and needs to be worked in, I repeated this three times a day, then on day 3 when residue ink was flaking on my skin I swapped to bio oil, after a further 3-4 days I used a pro butter, my tat was pretty much all good in 2 weeks, now into week 3 I apply a little pro butter once a day when I feel my arm getting a little tight.
If you have a fresh tattoo, this cream is great. It really moisturizes well, better than regular bepanthen. I also use it for dry hands and it does the job.
I will only use this as I find it heals my new tattoos within days instead of a week or so like others so I would highly recommend it plus it starts to work immediately
Received this and have to say it did hydrate my recent tattoo in the early days of recovery from the actual tattooing.
It is a little thick when first applied, so just dab a few bits around the tattoo and gently ease in. The area is then quite moist and will stick to clothing which isn't ideal, or if left uncovered does attract dust, fluff etc to stick to the area.
Although my purchase was quite cheap I had thought that this supposed specialised ointment would be totally different from the Babanthem used for babies bottom to prevent nappy rash but on close inspection I found the ingredients are totally the same, so save yourself a couple of quid and just get the ordinary stuff.
Have to say it did the trick for me over the first few weeks and now all the peeling and itching has stopped the tattoo looks great!
