Used these to paddle in the sea a few times. I walked in hiking boots to the beach then changed into these to paddle. They are light to carry and comfortable to wear. I wore the same size as my normal shoes but the sliding lace can be used to tighten the fitting if needed. The shoes have a sole which isn't very thick but I could walk over stones in them reasonably comfortably, on sand they were great. The shoes have tiny holes in the sole to make it easier in the water. Very pleased with them.
