Future proofed cable for a budget price
Recently rearranged my desk so I needed some longer display port cables for my monitors to reach. I looked around at different brands but the amazon basics brand was cheaper so I decided to go with this.The cable is quite thick compared to my old ones but that hasn’t caused any issues routing it through my cable management on my stand or under my desk.Performance works as expected no issues there. Nice to know it’s future proofed for the future too. I use it with a 4K 60Hz monitor and it works great.

There isn't much to say about this, but I've bought Amazon Basics cables before and find they are very nice quality, on some the cable housing is some of the best I've ever used with soft flex and rubbery coating so it seems they care a lot about quality and not just using cheap materials.

Does the job, I thought my old cable may of had issues so to rule it out I got this one instead. I haven't had an issue since. Definitely use a display port cable for your devices if they can take them over hdmi. Although either is fine but I just like the newest stuff.

One quite amusing thing is that this cable is extremely thick — to the point that it’s even thicker than the standard UK power cords. It doesn’t bother me much, but make sure that the weight of the cable doesn’t put a strain on the port that it’s connected to. Apart from that, all good!
