I bought these for electronic rework, either for removing some contaminant such as dirt or for removing flux after rework is completed.

I go through a lot of these, generally I use a clean one to remove the majority of flux without any solvents, and then I dip the bud into IPA and perform a thorough cleaning of the area and use the opposite end to just mop up the alcohol before it evaporates to remove and remaining flux that had become suspended in the liquid.

The pack size offers great value for money considering these are a consumable item, will be back for more when I’ve used them all up.

Have been using the card board ones for years, and obviously JnJ is the best, but these have equal cotton unlike some plastic or knock off where you feel the stick scraping your ear. Additionally the wood just kind of feels a little better in your hand. I will say most are quite sturdy, but every once in a while you get one that snaps if you're giving that extra attention to the lobe if you will.. 1 in 20 maybe, and its a little disconcerting the first time, but there's no harm of injury. So all in all. I highly recommend them. Cheaper in bulk then regular store bought and knowing bamboo trees were slain in the creation of these wonderful swabs is worth a thousand climate peoples tears. I say, give them a shot! Make Gretta cry and feel good about clean ears!

Let’s face it. I tried other Tips type products that were flimsy and we weren’t very Cotney on the tips. These bad boys are not only sturdy, but they have plenty of cotton on the tips sometimes maybe one every 200 or so. The bamboo is a little bit flimsy and breaks. I can’t say it’s the bamboo for sure because it could just be me rushing and using too much force. There are a lot of people that sell these things make sure you’re looking at quantity and pricing so you get the best value and deal for yourself. These are good replacements for the Q-tip , I would even say that nothing is like a Q-tip, but these might be slightly better than a Q-tip and it’s bamboo not paper or cardboard or whatever it is that they use
