# Android System Operation Steps

Insert the product into the OBD interface of the car.
Turn ignition to Key On Engine Off Position
Turn on Bluetooth on the phone.
After pressing the Black Button on the product, the device name can be found on the phone. (Important Operation)
Search for the device name "vLinker MC" and click Pair.
Enter the pairing code: 1234. If the pairing is successful, you can open the APP to set up the connection.

* NOTE: In the steps of APP operation, since different APPs have different setting and connection steps, please operate according to the relevant information on the APP's official website.

This provides fast data from my Japanese brand auto. Connects via Bluetooth 3 on Android. Had to remove the cellphone/tablet listing of my old unit in Paired list to get this new one to Connect, Now is good. This one requires the user to reach down to press a tiny button to help it to Connect. - easy to forget. It has useful indicator lights on the face to show the connection details, but for my auto this is just about invisible due to the out of reach placement of the OBD socket. Quite satisfied with this unit.

I bought this for use with A Better Route Planner (ABRP) for road trips in my 2017 Chevy Bolt. The unit performs as expected, using Bluetooth connection to update the battery’s SOC in real time, allowing for trip planning and real-time updates as you travel. I have not yet used the unit with any other app, but will be looking into Torque Pro to check and monitor battery health.

I recommend this unit.

It's connected to my Prius Prime to read the real time data from the Hybrid Assistant app. I had my Model 3 OBDLink LX installed at first and this vLinker polls data just as fast and read all the ECU data that Hybrid Assistant pulls from the car. I returned the OBDLink to my Model 3 and very satisfied with this vLinker. I tried a veePeak first and for almost the same price, it's not even comparable to the vLinker. It was slow and couldn't pull all the data.

I purchased this to use with ForScan to program 2 new keys for a 2002 Ford F150. Device via bluetooth did not show up with a "windows" option but I connected the vlinker-android device and it works fine in windows. I was able to connect to the Ford, run the software to erase and set 2 new key/transponders to it and well worth the price. Local mobile locksmith was about $250-300 for 2 keys programmed and cut. I was able to get the obd2 tool, free Forscan software with 2 month free extended license, 2 keys from amazon as well and total cost was less than 100. I did get the keys cut at a locksmith but it was free. Now I have an OBD2 tool to use on other vehicles if needed. This seems to support Toyota as well (with correct software) and if it works on the KIA also, bonus.

I finally had an opportunity / need to use this ODBII reader; when buying it, I thought I would now be prepared and would have the ability to clear a code or diagnos an issue when required. I was excited to have it on hand when something did come up but the unit is definately not as advertised and didn't work for me! It indicates in the ad that the unit works with both Android and IOS devices, even in the instructions it says this but the android connection is not available as a Bluetooth option, only the IOS option comes up as a choice which doesn't work for me. I did try connecting it to the IOS option anyways but the app wouldn't speak to it. I even tried updating the unit firmware from a friend's iPhone to see if that would correct the issue but no luck, and for those wondering, no I couldnt use my friends phone to resolve my problem because I had to pay for a specific app for my needs which was on my android. The worst part is, I'm past the return period for this unit, I thought I was being proactive in purchasing before I actually needed it but now I'm stuck with an $80 chunk of plastic. It may work for some but I'm very disappointed with this product and just wish I could get my money back.

Difference between obdlink is that they rip u off making 25 different kinds of the same thing kinda the same here but much cheaper. Obdlink makes 1 version of each for all devices and all other brands differentiate there price by distinguishing compatibility by either being co.patie with with ios/apple and everything or everything but apple. All the same apps and can access to all diff cars like bmw gm Ford etc even veepeak ble android just not as new as this. I've used every high end btsndd version on every app including USB which is where the difference is. Don't go with cheap fakes or anything app specific cuz even then u can still use these as of 2024. Have tried all combos
