I was looking for a new pair of headphones and came across these, by Fifine. What interested me in these headphones is how they look well-made, modern, and comfortable. Before I get into this review, I want to mention I do have higher expectations when it comes to audio quality. I do own an older higher-end amplifier and speakers and enjoy quality audio. I first tested out the H9 headphones on a home stereo and a small MP3 player, and they do sound good for their price point. For my PC, I did need to tweak some things, which I will explain later. I tested the headphones' audio qualities for low and high-frequency ranges, I could hear below 20hz base and around 18000khz highs, of course, not everyone can hear the high frequencies. The left and right channels are wired correctly and the dynamic range I could hear to about 66 dB below. During a base shaker test, I heard no distortion in the drivers. They seem to pass all of the basic tests, and the microphone in my opinion is very good, my voice when played back is clear and I like my voice deeper.These headphones are very well-made and comfortable, the ear foams and head strap are very soft, I could wear these all day without any discomfort. These headphones are constructed of a combination of plastic and metal and the cables are braided and of good quality. The Fifine headphones come with an inline controller that plugs into a USB port, includes a ventral 7.1 surround sound option and microphone on and off switch, plus volume adjustments on the USB controller.When connected directly to my PC with Win drivers, they seem to be natively set for highs and mid-ranges but the base is not proportional. I wanted to have more base because I grew up listening to larger speakers, that's just me. The simple solution is to adjust the audio with the PC equalizer, I had a problem as I didn't have one available. However, after downloading the Realtek audio drivers, I could add and adjust an equalizer to my desired audio preference. This only seems to work while connected directly using the 3.5mm jack only, my EQ looks like a smiley face, and now these headphones sound good on my PC.I play some older games, so the 7.1 only enhances the game slightly, not enough for me to use it on 7.1 very often. When using newer games it may be a much better experience. I tried the 7.1 option while playing Fortnite, but I'm still not used to the virtual surround sound yet. I would need to test it out on some other games or consoles. As for any improvements, a longer cord on the headphones themselves would be nice.In conclusion, These headphones have precision audio and can be turned up very loud without any distortion. The sound is better when adjusted by an EQ to my audio preference. They seem to pass all basic audio tests and can be turned up without distortion, It's not fair to compare these Fifine H9 headphones to high-end headphones. I really like the sound quality of the microphone and I might start using these for recording my voice for videos from now on. I'm giving the Fifine H9 headphones 4.8 Stars, these H9s look great and are of good quality.
