I installed this in an RV trailer for cell charging when dry camping (no AC power). It didn't come with wire, but being an electrician, I had lots of scrap around. Depending on the wire size, it can be tricky as you have to crimp two wires under many spade connectors. I drilled 4 - 1 1/8" holes, using the plate as a template...rather than cutting out a square. I did a test and it charged my cell when being supplied from my 12v RV battery and the trailers converter when plugged into 120VAC. The volt meter works fine when being fed from the 12 RV battery but fluctuates wildly ( 6 -19 volts) when being fed from the trailers rectified power supply. I will likely just use when we are dry camping...when we have AC power at a campsite, will just use the charger that came with the phone.

Die Installation war sehr einfach und schnell erledigt. Ich lasse sie nun über meine T4 Zweitbatterie laufen. Diese wird ausschließlich durch ein 160 Watt Solarmodul eingespeist. Insgesamt war die Installation in den Kreislauf sehr einfach und Anfängerfreundlich. Wenn ich das geschafft habe, schafft das jeder :)

Ich habe sie jetzt seit zwei Monaten im regelmäßigen Betrieb und sie läuft gut.

We have an older RV that was built before there was such a thing as an iPhone or USB or any such portable devices that requires constant recharging. I just installed this unit and it is perfect! Very easy to install but be sure to follow the wiring diagram exactly. Yes, it would have been nice if they had supplied a small wiring harness but it is very easy to assemble your own using the supplied terminal lugs. The volt meter is a handy addition and is very accurate when checked against my Klein VOM. It does require placement where there is adequate depth behind it to allow installation of the USB and 12v charger unit (approx 1 1/2 ' plus length of the wiring terminals), or you may have to make a spacer to make the front of the unit stand proud of the wall where you want to mount it, but that would be easy to do as well.
I would buy this again (and just might to install in my small teardrop camper)...
