Great modern sport watch
Recently purchased the FR265S to replace my Venu 2S, which I was still enjoying using.The basic feature I wanted to see on my Venu via firmware update was "save and resume later" but it never came. I waited for Venu 3 but seems like Garmin is keeping this feature for advanced sport watches. FYI, this feature allow you to get a single activity (and gps track) when doing multi-day hiking, kayaking, etc. Or when biking with kids with long pauses.But I'm glad I got the FR rather than Venu 3 as the feedback/data this watch provides is amazing, especially when running or biking. The navigation and trackback features are welcome too. The GPS tracking is also better and faster than Venu, even compared to the latest Venu 3.Compared the my Venu 2, the menus have been refined and look much better. More graphical, more animations. The UI is really beautiful, it looks more modern. Also, having more buttons is useful to configure various shortcuts but also accessing some sub-menus, or using the watch with wet hands.I still don't understand why some basic sports are missing from their "cheaper" watches like Kayaking but I can use SUP, then change the sport type on Garmin Connect app. At least, Garmin recently updated many of their watches to add team and racket sports. It makes the watch even more versatile.I wish Garmin will add nap detection in the future as the Venu 3 can do this.
