TL;DR: Excellent smart light switch. The Kasa App walks you through the entire installation and made it REALLY easy. Installation took 30-40 minutes without any help. Linking the switch to the Kasa app and wifi was easy. The only odd thing I noticed was that the brightness calibration did not seem to have the degree of sensitivity that it indicates in the app (see full review below).
FULL REVIEW
This is my 7th Kasa smart device and the first smart light switch I've purchased. As someone who is not very handy with household electrical, I found the guided installation instructions in the Kasa app absolutely incredible. The app walks you through every single step with total clarity - there were no instances where I had to guess or try to figure out what the app was asking me to do. Installation took somewhere between 30-40 minutes which included time that I spent running down to our circuit breaker. I was able to complete the installation by myself without any help.
Once the switch was installed, the Kasa app made getting the device linked to my wifi and smart home a breeze. It took maybe one minute to get everything linked up. The setup process was straightforward and easier than I expected.
The only oddity that I noticed was at the setup step for the calibration of the dimmer. During setup, you will be given a slider that will allow you to calibrate the dimmer levels based on the type of bulbs that you are using. The slider shows the lowest dimmer range for both incandescent and LED bulbs, however as I tried to use this, I noticed that my dimmable LED bulbs did not respond to anything but the largest changes on this scale. As I would change the minimum threshold for the dimmer (either up or down), there was no noticeable difference to the brightness of my bulbs. In practice, this doesn't seem to make much of a difference to the actual dimming functionality of the switch.
Also, it doesn't appear that you can control dimness using voice control with Google Home. To change the dimmer settings, you will still need to either control it from the actual switch itself or open the Kasa app on your phone.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this switch. It makes a nice, affordable upgrade and like my other Kasa smart home products is so easy to set up and use. 100% recommended.

Physical installation was easy. (Obviously, it does help to be comfortable doing basic electrical work.) Each of the Kasa dimmers I installed was easily identified by the Kasa app on the first try. The app is friendly and will walk you through the wiring but also lets you skip all the directions if you don't need them. Since then, they've been working flawlessly.I picked the Kasa dimmers over other makes because I felt they best matched the other decora switches in our home. I have no intention of replacing them all, so they need to look right together -- the ones we have installed so far are working flawlessly with Alexa routines to automate outdoor lights with switches at the front door. OH... and you can turn off the light on them -- I left just one strategically selected dimmer light on all the time so it's easy to find at night. (You can see which one that is in the photo.)I also installed two more at the front door for pot lights and the chandelier to (1) match, and (2) provide some dimming because otherwise the chandelier is really bright... and these cost no more than a traditional mechanical dimmer switch so it's a "no brainer".My ONLY complaint is that the faceplates that comes with these are REALLY tight fitting. Removing them right out of the box is tough enough - I can't imagine removing one when it's on the wall. However, I have used these Kasa dimmers with standard multi-switch decora wall plates so I may never know if the Kasa faceplates are as immovable as I expect.Overall, VERY happy with these after a month or two of use.

Kasa Smart Ceiling Fan switch. Guided setup through the app made it a breeze, so to speak. Also the app calibration upon setup ensured lights transition (bright/dim) optimally on the ceiling fan. They synced easily with Google Home and have worked via voice control and touch on the actual switch. Fairly intuitive design, similar to my previous design but all touch no manual levers. I appreciate the responsive power on/off button, for those wanting to use the manual on/off.
