***Update*** I played with the settings a bit more while using Spotify and now it sounds much better. I pressed "voice" a couple times on the remote which makes it sound clearer and that fixed the issue. Sound and Bass is very clean and deep too. Sound does not lag at all when watching tv, I was worried because someone else had this issue but I didn't thankfully.
In the instruction manual it's not very clear about how to adjust the sound.. but basically there's three presets: movie, music and news. Below there is voice, surround sound and Bass. In the manual it says hit voice once to turn it on and 4x to turn it off. This is for bass and voice I believe but it doesn't tell you to hit voice once and then again to double the effect. I think this might be the case with bass too and clicking it 4x just resets the settings to default but I'll have to look into it more. I clicked voice a few times to get the sound clearer and I don't know what the bass is set to but it's good.
I got the soundbar and sub on the boxing day sale for $300. These speakers are priced at $500 my Amazon Echo has much better sound quality than the sound bar so I'm pretty disappointed I'm probably going to return it. I hooked it up to my tv w/optical and have tried different settings. I have used it with Bluetooth on my phone connected to Spotify to test the quality too... Definitely not worth the money they are charging for this set. I'm going to play around with it a bit more but if I can't get the quality to improve I will return it.
