Ok straight off it's a great brushless motor truck for the price. Build is solid, logically laid out and durable. I picked this thing up after looking at the specs and seeing the price. Wasn't in the market for another but I had to check it out and I'm glad I did.
Pros.
-Comes with 2 x 2S batteries. Enough punch to be fun and about what it should have.
-Components appear to be good quality. I'm still trying to figure out if any corners were cut to offer it at this price. Probably the diff gears is my guess.
-Will run on 3S. This is probably overpowered, which in itself is greatly entertaining. Install the wheelie bar. You're going to use it.. a lot.
-The modular battery setup is rugged and convenient but has it's downsides.
-This could be a contender with the other popular 1:16 brushless trucks out there. Time will tell after it takes more punishment. So far it appears it can.
Cons.
The modular battery. Trying to charge these with the supplied charger takes a long time but there's a work around for this (see below).
-Comes with 1 shell. Others give you two.
-Not as much support or as well known as the 1:16 Hyper Go brushless but looks like it comes out of the same factory...
My battery setup recommendations are to look at buying Deans to XT60 adapters and balance lead extensions for the modular packs. The modular batteries then can be plugged into a regular balance charger. They're a regular LiPo packed in a funky shell. Amazon carries both the Deans to XT60 adapters and the balance lead extensions for 2S and 3S. As for batteries if you decide to go with 3S then it appears the modular batteries for the H16e, H16BM etc. in a 3S should drop right in. Alternatively find a 2000-2200mah regular battery that will fit and modify the clamp which is screwed in from under the side skid plate. There also appears to be kits for making this conversion to a regular LiPo pack for the H16BM and by the looks of it this battery set up is identical to the Hyper Go H16BM. I'm on the fence right now as to how I want to get 3s packs for this and. I may go the modular route this time after I trial fitted a SiGP 2250 mAh battery. The width and height of that battery were good but it's too long and will bind with the steering servo. That battery measures 106mm x 34.5mm x 22.5mm with calipers. The battery manufacturer says it's 106mm x 35mm x 26mm. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08TMDM8HF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details The actual measured height of 34.5mm and width of 22.5mm are fine but the battery chosen should be about 6mm shorter i.e. 100mm long or less to clear the servo.
All in all if you're looking at the other similar 1:16 brushless trucks don't overlook this if the price is like it was in comparison when I bought it. It seemed to offer the same value at significantly lower price. So far I'm impressed overall.
