Bought two of these on sale for $35 each for two old PC's that were due for a hard drive upgrade. Changing from mechanical HDD to these SSD's provided a night a day difference and potentially added an extra 3+ years to the PC's they're in now. They're super fast and live up to their rated speeds when tested in HDD read/write tools. I highly recommend you purchase this SSD for a cheap and easy upgrade in any old computer running an older HDD, you won't regret it.

I run my own video editing business and aside from working off a 16TB external hard drive which can be a bit noisy and slow at times with large files, this thing is amazing! Quick read & write speeds, never had any data loss issue (so far, I been using this for about a year now), and has been super reliable to work off of and is a huge upgrade over working off an external hard drive!

As title says, easy installation, no issues whatsoever, was able to immediately get both SSDs going.
I swapped out my HDD for SSD, and now my computer is super quiet while running.

Since the EVO 870 SSD units were recommended originally through hours of research in countless forums, I've purchased probably 12 or more for use in my own machines and upgrades to work computers and those of individuals. They're solid performers - never had a nanosecond of trouble with any of them - and the speed improvement over the 7200 rpm drives they typically replace is very noticeable indeed. The Samsungs do everything I need them to do - do it quickly - and most of all do it *reliably.*

Just wanted to share my humble opinion regarding packaging. I'm really dissapointed with attitude towards packaging such a fragile and precious item. First of all, when it was dilevered to my door, i heard bump like it was kicked by courier, but lucky for me it wasn't damaged afterwards. Second, packaging was crunched from inside and outside. Inner carton did not have any kind of soft, inflatable bags - I'm not surprised that the whole shape looks poor and smashed, considering what path was made by this small parcel before it reaching customer.
