A great functional range finder at an affordable price!
For the current price of $69.99 ($89.99 plus a $20 coupon), this is a great range finder. My husband (who owns a range finder by a better brand that is known for its accuracy and costs about 2x the price of this one) wanted this for our son who has taken an interest in golf recently.My husband had these things to say about the range finder:- The case is really sturdy and well made. The carabiner makes it easy to attach to your golf bag. The elastic loop lets you access the range finder quickly during your round of golf, while the zipper provides better security and protection for proper storage between rounds.- The device looks really stylish. The casing feels good in the hand, and the grooves provide adequate grip.- The device is VERY light. While good for portability purposes, it makes it a bit difficult to hold steady (compared to devices with a bit of weight to them).- The buttons require a deeper press (as opposed to a touch button) to operate the device, and again, due to the lightness of the device, there is a tendency to move the whole device while trying to press your fingers down to get a reading. This wouldn't be that big of an issue, only the range finder takes a reading quite quickly, so if you happen to shift from the flag to what's behind the flag while pressing down the button, you may get an inaccurate reading. My husband said that he found himself using the range finder 3-5 times to ensure that he indeed got the device locked on the correct mark before feeling certain that he got a good reading.- In terms of accuracy, my husband found this to give consistent readings that were about 2-3 feet shorter than his brand name range finder.Overall, my husband said that, while there are better range finders out there, this one is a great choice at such an affordable price point.

Lightweight and sturdy. Looks as good as the more expensive rangefinders. Quick and easy to charge. However, red indicator light does not go out indicating the unit is fully charged, as per the instructions. Charge was more than long enough to complete a round of golf. Simple to use. Instruction booklet is easy to follow. I was able to focus on a target without any trouble. Shorter distances (under 150 yds) fully accurate. Good for choosing the correct wedge. Works well also on longer ranges, just takes a little more time to lock on target. I like the idea that it boasts flag-lock and jolt technology.
I can see myself using Mode1 most times. Holding down the Power/Start button for continuous scanning of different targets quickly. Mode 2 offers slope tech. Compensates for up and downhill shots. Indicates the exact distance to the target as well as gives you the distance compensated for the degree of slope. Should help me to choose the appropriate club on uphill shots so that I do not come up short.
I would recommend the Profey VPRO X6 rangefinder. Easy to use and gives accurate yardage readings for the average golfer and offers excellent features for the more experienced player.
