I had NO idea that there were different kinds of Magnesium. I swear we do NOT spend any time on Supplements in Nursing School and since I became ill, I have had to supplement with several things that my body is not able to tolerate through food alone and of course magnesium is a whole other story.
When I read the write up on Senzu and all the differences in Bisglycinate vs regular ol’ magnesium citrate, I was floored and of course with a Masters in Nursing I am a geek and went down the rabbit hole and learned a ton about the differences and was amazed and trepidatious in it truly being able to do all it promised.....well, NO MORE!
I feel great and for every check mark on the list of Senzu Mg Bisglycinate and what each promises I can say without ANY trepidation that this product is indeed my new BFF in the Supplement world.
When I had a friend ask me about it and what it does all I could say was “WOW!” And “Look it up cuz it works for me and you clearly need to know about it!”.
I have noticed a difference in my mood AND MORE importantly, in my HUSBANDS! He is a retired LEO and after 32 years on the job, his mood had kind of been a bit down lately (he has NO problems falling asleep so that was never a reason for him to consider Magnesium) so I added these to his daily Vit D and C along with a couple others (I would recommend you take your Vitamins in the morning and your supplements in the evening or late afternoon but check wit your doctor on that as some can be hard on the belly). He has been on those for quite a while so this was the only “new” addition to his supplements.
I now have 2 friends on it and they are loving it as well.
For me personally, my sleep has been far better and deeper with a fully rested feeling. Prior to finding Senzu and the Bisglycinate TRAACS formulation, I was taking a liquid form of Magnesium to sleep. It was NOT cost effective by any means as I would drink about 3x the recommended dose just to feel like it was “bedtime” as any less, I may as well drink some water. For me to take Zoplicone or any prescription drug to aid in my sleeping was not effective in that my body has an immediate tolerance to them and in a matter of a week, taking a prescribed sleeping pill daily, I would be taking 3-4 by the end of the week just to fall asleep. I don’t have the best relationship with them and no MD wants to see you after 14 days for a refill on a 30 day prescription. Not a good look to be taking that many sleeping pills and they are highly addictive...enough said.
The other benefits I noticed almost immediately with Senzu’s brand was that I had increased energy after my deep and rested sleep.
My anxiety had gone waaaayyyy down and I think it is important for people to know that if they are magnesium deficient in ANY way, they will notice a difference fairly quickly in this area.
While we did not check my Magnesium levels prior to me starting Mg Bisglycinate, my symptoms certainly said i was deficient and for me to notice a difference in what are Magnesium deficient related symptoms, I could only trace it to this addition to my supplements.
My stress levels and anxiety became manageable so much so, that I discontinued my Diazepam. I was not always taking it for anxiety but it was there if needed it and it is no longer needed for anxiety.
I started taking Diazepam (Valium) for Myoclonic Seizures as they were lasting longer than a few seconds and the jury is still out on that diagnosis but that is another thing that I have noticed since starting Mg Bisglycinate is that the “jerks” or “seizures” are not nearly as frequent nor are they as severe.
It is pretty rare that I, of all people, bring up a supplement in a conversation with a friend but I have for this supplement and without hesitation because it has done so MUCH for me.
As I was writing this, my husband walked in and asked what I was writing so I told him. He said to add that he feels less “anxious” too.......so, there you have it, two reviews for one! It is NOT like him to chime in on something like this either so that alone says a lot to me.
All I can ask is that you TRY this particular brand of Mg Bisglycinate and see why exactly it has a patent on it. I have discovered that in the Supplement World, having a patent on it, makes it quite special and I can see/feel why!
It has made a difference in our lives and I don’t think I have EVER said that about ANY supplement other than one vitamin and that was Vitamin D when I was told to take very large doses and it did make a difference.
If you are in doubt, ask your Doc for a blood work up and get your Mg tested to see just how deficient you are. MOST people are unless you have a super fabulous diet but I just didn’t have the time (literally) to cook a big meal as work, for me, consists of 14-16 hour shifts some days and some of those days, one is lucky if they are able to inhale a protein bar! Now that I am off for a while I will have more time and hopefully MORE energy to actually cook. Hubby will be proud of that time when it comes lol!
Do give this a try. I can’t say enough good about it and, as I said, I don’t rave about supplements in my daily life but this is one worth raving about. If it works for you, you’ll know it and if it doesn’t and your magnesium is low, you need it anyway. There isn’t anything to lose with this brand if you are worried as they guarantee it, just read their page on this product or go to their website.
I truly hope that if you have any of these symptoms plaguing you, that you will give this particular brand a shot first! Canadian Made.....Can you do better than that AND a guarantee! Doubtful.
Good luck and while I hope you do NOT have any of my issues or symptoms, IF you do, THIS is a really GREAT place to start rather than thinking EXPENSIVE is best....Senzu shows you that is NOT the case!
