Bought this track with no reviews. Also had a $30 off coupon. Track is worth buying with the coupon but not without. Guardrails need to be mounded rounded. Don't bother putting on. Tracks will come apart if you bump it. Supports work good except the raised part so made my own support. Overall good if the coupon is there but not worth it if not.
Update to my first review. Bought 3 tracks and put all together. The track is now the right size. To do this, you need some construction knowledge and LOTS of PATIENCE but worth it. All fit on a 4x8 sheet of plywood. 3 tracks costs the same as 1 AFX Giant set but I assume the AFX is better quality. Wasn't prepared to spend $1000 to find out. Ten laps takes a little over 2 minutes. As you will see from the picture, it has lots of custom supports. Best to get it off the floor and support it well. Tracks come apart less easily this way. Also it seems that the cars have to be worked in for a bit. I found they come off the tracks easy at first but get better with some use. On 2 of the 3 sets, the cross tracks did not work. Made both lanes work with one controller. Took the back plate off to see if the wires were crossed but couldn't see a problem. So much for the QC sticker. The track is so long, I didn't worry about this. 1 tracks uses a 12V 1A transformer so I bought a 12V 5A and it works well. Forgive the video quality . . . I raced and video'd at the same time. It gives a good perspective on the track. You have to learn how to work the throttle. Throttle on the loops, less on the corners. 4 years old is too young. 6 years old is a good starting age. The 3 star review is for the quality of the set. As I said the guardrails are poor design. The should be moulded rounded so they fit proper. The tracks will come apart so you have to make the track heavily supported. If you do all the things to fix the problems you will incur, it will work good. Do you have the time and patience? That is the question that separates the men from the boys!!!
