I actually got this tripod to use with a small portable projector that we like to use when camping or in the backyard. I was looking for something that was compact while still offering lots of adjustments so that I can line up the image just right given any setup. For my use case, it has been pretty good so far but wish it had more options for adjustments. The head of the tripod screws into the top pole meaning it has no side to side pivot adjustments so the whole tripod needs to be rotated, it can be problematic when not on super flat ground. It offers up and down rotation which is great but it is on set steps and not simply free motion to pick any angle desired. The height adjustments are great, the quick release clips work really well and you can pick any height desired between the minimum and maximum.
The product page advertises using it as a selfie stick, you can definitely do this and it will work but is not the most comfortable to hold in this position. The legs of the tripod have a large base when fully extracted making it fairly stable even when fully extended. You can also lock the legs at any point when extracting which I really like, sometimes a smaller footprint is required and this allows for that.
It has a standard 1/4" screw which is what I use for my projector, it would also be great for a lighter pair of binoculars or lightweight camera. You could use it with a larger and heavier camera but I would worry about it tipping over from the weight if left unattended, could be used as a mono pod though and would work well.
Overall I am very happy with the tripod, it packs down fairly small and has an included bag, makes it easy to take with us camping. It also offers lots more position option when setting up our projector compared to trying to prop it up onto something. The phone clip does also work well to use a phone tripod and it includes a remote to remotely snap the photos.
