Before you buy, make sure you know how to connect the S1 to your laptop. Please follow the options below to connect the S1 to your laptop:

  • Connection method 1: Laptop port Requirements: HDMI*1, USB-A*1 (5V/2A)

1: Use the HDMI to USB-C cable to connect the HDMI port on your laptop to the HDMI port on the S1 monitor.

2: Use the USB-A to USB-C cable to connect the USB-A port on the laptop to the Type-C port on the S1 monitor for power.

  • Connection method 2: Laptop Required port: USB-C port*1 (full function)

Use the USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the USB-C port on your laptop to the Type-C port on the S1 monitor.

Note: the S1 monitor has three Type-C ports, two of which are used for Type-C output signals and power; one is used for HDMI signal port output signals.

If the laptop's output signal is unstable or if the signal cannot be displayed, connect the laptop to a power source.

The connection diagram above applies to most laptop computers. You just need to make sure that your laptop has the output port required for the connection. If you are unsure if your laptop has a full USB-C port, or have any questions about the connection, you can send us the model number of your laptop for us to confirm.

This is a very slim and clear monitor. Clips on easily to your laptop. Only thing that’s a bit of an issue is that it’s got some weight to it. As a result, it tends to come loose on the bottom if you tilt your screen forward and aren’t using the lock stand on the back.

Also, to reduce weight in my carry on, I packed this in my suitcase, but didn’t protect it adequately. It unfortunately sustained damage that is not covered by warranty.
